To many responses to quote them all so here goes.
The password that I had was in my mind a fairly safe password, pretty random letters and numbers and I have never told anyone else what it is. All my passwords are random keys on the keyboard with numbers mixed in, i had always assumed this was a safe way to create passwords.
I do use the same password for a few of my poker accounts, all of which were immediately changed before I even made the original post.
I realize that I ery likely won't get my money back, but that doesn't mean I won't send them piles and piles of e-mails. A guy's gotta try right
I looked through the hand history and it didn't really seem like chip dumping to me, just playing PLO really really bad. I was even up around $90 at one point .

Bleh, some facts.
(a) Ultimatebet's support sucks. Good luck getting anything that makes sense from them remotely speedily.
(b) Keeping your password secure is your responsibility. Okay, if someone had hacked into your account through Ultimatebet's servers or something it would be their responsibility, but whoever hacked your account didn't - they got your password somehow, which is your responsibility. It sucks, but you have no chance of getting that money back, sorry.
(c) This should be obvious, but if you used your Ultimatebet password for anything else, change all instances of the password. In fact it's probably best to change all your passwords just to be safe (after scanning your comp for trojans/keyloggers/etc)

I'm not sure a bunch of complaints are the answer. Give Ultimatebet a chance to investigate the matter. I'm sure they will rectify the situation. But keep after it!

Also, make a HUGE complaint about it on a bunch of forums and tell your story. They will notice after a certain amount of time and will be more than glad for you to give that money back afterwards.

Can you see anything that looks like chip dumping in the hand history? Short tables, hands lost over and over to the same guys?
CDP always shows the IP that I'm logging in from; Ultimatebet probably has that info. If nothing else, they should be able to watch for more activity from that IP and maybe pinpoint some computer.
And, keep after Ultimatebet. Something may come of it yet.

as far as customer support goes for any site i have found that a constant barrage of emails or calls (when possible) eventually does get it done. plain and simple, your money is missing from their site....let them know your asking this in forums so it's public and just keep at it. you're right, they are wrong...end of story. trust me on the barrage of emails.

Man, I'm sorry to hear that shoestring. You'd think that Ultimatebet would have some kind of team that could crack this so it doesn't happen to anyone else and so you can get your money back.
I wouldn't let the discussions stop between you and Ultimatebet just yet.
Good luck.

Not blaming it on you, but most hacked accounts are just people using weak passwords.
If it was really hacked, it was most likely a bruteforce program (a program that just checks every random combination of letters and numbers until one works)

Indeed, turns out this is what happened. I didn't catch a hand history for it because I'm set to only save hand histories through Pokertracker and PAHUD. But Ultimatebet sent me a hand history where I lost all my money.
Apparently whoever this asshole was who hacked my account blew all of my money on a $2-4 Pot Limit Omaha table, in about 20 hands or so. I e-mailed them back to tell them it wasn't me and that my account has been hacked and my money dumped to someone else, but they are most likely not goi... | | Read Entire Entry |

Not really much you can do here but complain to support until your fingers are sore from the numerous E-mails you send to support.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pissed. I think I'm just waiting to see if they have any information on what may have happened before I let my emotions get the better of me.
It was deposited money as well, not freeroll winnings.

No, I have bonus dollars pending and if someone went out and blew through $125 on my account they would have cleared at least some of the bonus. And nothing of the sort shows up in the transaction history. Also the transaction history shows all tournament buy-ins and there hasn't been any since then.
Honestly I am not as angry as I thought I would be in a situation like this, maybe I'm bottling it up, hope I don't end up taking it out on the cat (joking ).

Ok here is the deal, the last time that I logged off my UltimateBet account I had approximately $125 left. Tonight I sat down to play some poker. Loaded up PokerTracker and PAHUD and went to go sit at a table when I realized that my account balance was $1.08. So basically my money disappeared and I have no idea where it went.
Now, I am not posting here to bash Ultimatebet or to lay blame on anyone or anything. I am just looking for advice on how to proceed. I sent the following e-mail to Ultimatebet's support and am currently waiting for a reply:
Hello,
My user name is Shoestringx and my name is XXXX XXXXXX.
I am e-mailing support as there has been money that has gone missing from my account.
July 7th, 2007 was the last time that I played poker on UltimateBet. When I closed the software my account had a balance of approximately $125. I opened my account today, July 11th, 2007 to play poker and my account balance was $1.08. I would like to know where this m... | | Read Entire Entry |
