Yep, I'll reiterate...I load up any time I happen to be below the max buy-in for the table.

I agree You must have the $$$$ to double up. If your short stacked and hit the big one its worth ery little.

Rebuying after every blind is a good idea and I recently started doing that.
I like this more than waiting for my stack to drop to a certain percentage.

Whenever I'm going to fold a hand and surrendering the pot takes me below the max buy-in, I always pause and reload before folding.

Very good information here. I really have never thought about reloading at all. Makes total sense and I bet this will really help in my game. I always like to know where I am at money wise (how much I have lost and won, and if you keep reloading you dont really have a true clue of how much up or down you are). I guess PT takes care of this though

shorstacking
in order to play shortstack poker conditions have to be meet.
1. you are taking a shot at a higher limit game, what this means is say you normally play $100 NL with a 2k bankroll. Say you get up to 4k but you dont know if you want to move up yet. Then yes you can play shortstack poker to try out the level 1st.
2. You are playing against people that are ery ery ery aggressive. In this case you can play the shortstack and wait for good chances to shove in. You can only do this if you know they are aggressive players, with a short stack you are not looking to play postflop poker. You are looking to re-steal pots or race. You can not do this at $10NL.

i can definitely see the point of reloading. never thought of loading after the blinds tho that's a good idea to try. i do however win a lot with a low stack that would be more $ with more chips. i will try this strategy.

If I'm playing PL or NL than I only reload when I'm under 3 BB. Other than that I wait until I lose. It may seem like a really low amount to go down too, but you would be surprised how many times you can come back from a big low stack.
Try it next time, I mean what do you have to lose, 3 BB?

Either grind $5max (might as well just withdraw, buy a ski-mask and baseball bat and mug people for money), or max out at 10max with only 10x buy-ins (beware of ariance). You can also play ery low stake SNGs.

wow , so many reload after each blind ,probably proper play for reasons stated , but me I'm always playing shortstacked and wait till I lose it all . lol yes I usually double up my last 1.29 with a big hand. I just can't risk so much so often ,there are always those hands I cant fold but do not want to risk everything on. should I reconsider my strategy ?
I love the 25/pl omaha , but they will put you all in on the flop, when highest hand possible is a set,and most of the time they don't even have that. I hate myself when I lose all my money on a draw even with great chances. or bottom or middle set.
I have a $100 br and am always over my 5% limit in any game.

Reload every time the blinds pass through me, should be standard. Do you know why you should be doing that ?

I noticed I like to reload my chipstack before I lose 50% of it. The 2 main reasons being: a) I want to have a decent chipstack to worth with and b) I want to make sure I get paid when I hit a big hand.
after every blind. Like you said I want maximum alue that is if im not shortstacking. Yes there are advantages of it but if im playing a full stack sort of game I will rebuy after every blind.
I try to get a script that will do it for me though. There is one for stars I cant get working and there is fulltiltshortcuts that will do it but I have not purchased it yet but will next week most likely.
