Great posting. Thanks for putting that up! That was just plain sick. I haven't seen half of those tricks before. I knew about the butterfly, but have never seen a ariation where someone uses 5 chips instead of 4. Whenever I'm bored working at a fun corporate event and no one's playing at my table, I work on my chipping but I just can't seem to get the hang of some of them. Not too bad at stacking chips...depending on the type of chips I can do a pair of 10 stacks on each hand simultaneously. I think it's really important to learn these tricks on both hands so that you can do them at the same time and be even more flashier or even to get a good workout for your fingers...never know...may help prevent arthritis when you get older!
I also find myself practicing while walking around school and at work. Helps me relax and focus on my thoughts.
Currently just playing at dropping a chip on the table and having it bounce on a stack of chips. Can get it maybe 1 in 20 tries but it's more of a fl... | | Read Entire Entry |

In the past, I've actually found chip tricks to be harder to do with the tourney chips at our local casino, as they tended to be lightweight plastic and even slightly mismatched in size. Last time I played there they'd just upgraded to shiny new tourney chips that were properly matched and a better weight, basically the same as their cash game chips.
When I practice though I'm mostly using heavier clay chips with a lead centre.
usually the cash game chips are a lot heavier and most casino's weigh them down, its makes them more bulky. 1st time I played live I could not even shuffle the cash game chips but when I went over to my tourney did it no problem.

remember to use tourney chips and not cash chips when you are doing tricks its like 100x easier.

Actually although it does in fact say "PLAY MONEY" it was not, it was a 20 dollar buy in 500 dollar gaurentee, and i was not even posting this, i used this forum to get those little card pictures and then copy and paste into word to show a buddy, and you have to put a heading in to preveiw the post, so i just wrote wow, and the thing is 2 quads within 4 hands and/or 3 minutes, and the night before when playing home game i had 2 4 of a kinds, so 4 4 of a kinds in 24 hours, i was a bit happy, didnt mean to offend anyone, i dont even recall clicking post, anyway, i went on to win the $150, it is strange why it says play money though

I think Chris was referring to the abnormally tight play at a play money table.

Why would anyone care about anything that happens on a play money table?

out of the two choices (quads twice in 4 hands, or 6 preflop folds at a play money table) i'd say the 6 folds were the most unlikely
