To be honest I think you're asking a bit much there. Few will have the expertise to answer and fewer will have the inclination to write you a massive essay on it

You may be better off looking for more books/publications. I've had a quick look on Amazon and I've noticed Sam Farha has one coming out soon. Might be worth a look

Most important thing for first time players is the fact that you have four cards but you can only play 2 and you MUST play 2 from your hole cards.
When I first started playing Omaha I always forgot this and tried to play one and yes tried to play 3 because I wasn't paying attention.

Also on the same note, remember that the other people at your table have 4 cards as well so the chances of them pulling out something on the flop, turn or river is really good.

Well I'm no expert but I found this point system for starting hands helped me out a lot if you haven't already checked it out:

Omaha

I think its useful for beginners to intermediate players. It's got its critics though so don't just take my word for it. It doesn't take into account position so you have to try and factor that in.

Also some good articles here:

The best is when you have Qh 8h 7h 2s or something

flop comes Kh 2h 4h and its like cool, flush!

turn 5d

river 5h

opponent has Ah 9h 6d Kc

Thats always fun, pokerstars always insures ALL hearts are in play! raaaaawrr!

Good thing I probably only lost like $3 because im playing low limits

Don't draw to something that isn't the nuts.

Example: If you're drawing to a queen high flush, and you make it, there's still a ery good chance someone else outdrew you to a king or an ace. Not always, and I'm not saying you can't play a queen high flush, but tread ery lightly, especially as a beginner. Realize that when everybody has four cards, it is much more likely for the best possible hand to be out there, especially if it's a multiway pot.

Iam a bit bored of NL Holdem, so i decided to play a bit Pot Limit Omaha. Can anyone give a short introduction to this game and can give me infos where i can find good books? I already read the section in Doyle Brunsons Super System 2 which helped me alot. After reading some informations about the game i was suprised watching the full tilt pros on highest stakes making kind of crazy plays with draws etc..
I think in Omaha the position is far more important than in Holdem. But i cant understand why should fold to a raise when i have the best starting hand but sitting UTG.
I played it HeadsUp quite sucesfull so far. In a 6 handed match with .5 .10 blinds i lost to some donkeys who made crazy calls. now i want to get some informations about the theory and maybe we have some experts in the forum who can help me too.

Thanks alot

Hey all, I've been wanting to learn Omaha for some time now. I read all the time about how profitable playing Omaha online can be due to the massive amounts of fish, but right now I'm one of those Omaha fish. Anyone have any good tips for starting out with Omaha? I already know the basic stuff like only draw to the nuts and so forth, but anyone have any good strategies/tips for game situations? Thanks for all replies.
