I have a fixed rebuy strategy....I play more conservative bc donks like knowing they can rebuy and then take advnatage of that and i try to be at 3-4x the starting amoutn of chips at which point I sit out.

...which is exactly why casinos love them.

The $25 tournament I mentioned above gets run every Saturday morning at our local casino. It normally draws about 100 people, and a good many of them will spend upwards of $100 on the tournament. If they just held a $100 freezeout though, they probably won't have as many takers.

Cheap re-buys live, tend to take to long for crap rewards. Cheap re-buys might work out better online. I personally never play re-buys, live or online.

Our local casino plays a lot of them, just because they're so tremendously profitable for the house.

Played a $25 w. rebuys there once, and decided that I'll just stick with freezeouts for the time being. A $2 rebuy tournament I'd definitely have a bash at though. What's the prize money like?

wanted to know what everyones stance was on low limit re buy tourneys in casinos in UK. currently play one most sunday nights. £2 1000 chips unlimited re buys for 75 mins. my usual strategy is either register and then play 20 mins. if im up to above 10k then i usually go and have a drink and watch tv. however most weeks i am continually shouting "CHIPS" every 5 mins. for example last week after 4 or 5 re buys pick up aces. one guy goes all in a call and only one more calls. so i win pot but still only have 3k which is basicaly 1k in this game. next hand JJ late position one guy already all in for 1k i sh al in as well one caller. says i have only seen the ace and lo and behold ace on the flop. seriously annoyin these things does any oneelse play them???
