Not necessarily true. Full Tilt will allow accounts to be assigned to affiliates after they have been created. They will NOT allow a change from 1 affiliate to another. So depending on how you signed up originally you may be eligible. Contacting a rakeback site and asking them to find out for you is the only way to know for sure.

Usually not, especially on the bigger sites. Full Tilt and other biggies are ery strict with this and will definitely not allow it unfortunately

Highly unlikely you will be able to open up a new account once you have opened one. As said above though, As said above find a good rakeback site. Email them, and tell them your predicament. Providing when you signed up you didn't click on another affiliates link to get to your site, they may be able to sort something out for you

Contact a reputable rakeback site and give them the details. They may be able to help you depending on what site and how much you play.

No, unless you change your address and name. Just sign up (in) a family member's name. After contacting Full Tilt Poker first to get their blessing.

Can't get it if you already have an account. Now having said that, there is no rule against say opening an account in another family member's name and signing that one up for rakeback. Just contact Full Tilt Poker first to get their blessing. I have used RakeTheRake and they are excellent (just got another $33 deposit from them yesterday in fact). Having said that, don't forget that you can also sign up throught the link here at Cardschat and Nick uses a portion of those funds to help pay for the Freerolls here. Not to mention he gives me a kickback (just kidding).

It depends on the type of stakes that you play at, I know that their are a nice amount of High Stakes players that use rakeback becuase they are losing upto $2 per hand in Rake.

If you play .05/.10, .25/.50 - even $2/$4 blinds, then rakeback probably isnt necessary unless you are playing all day everyday.

Unfortunetly, I have also looked at getting rakeback, but I found no sites that actually allow you to register with your current poker account.

I was checking the site for a book that I recently purchased, and I saw a ton of advertisements encouraging me to sign up for rakeback bonuses.

I understand the general concept of a rakeback. My question is, what rakeback bonuses are actually reputable enough to fulfill their obligation. Also, how can I sign up for a rakeback without having to register and begin playing at a new site.

Thanks

I did try many rakeback-sites but during past months only one ... which offers you 100K in Freeroll each month - excellent support

CryptoRooms 30-35% ..... at PrimaSkins you got up to 60% paid daily but after Bodog did b...

Nick,

Thanks, I understand where you're coming from and I do appreciate this forum and would like to support it as well. You would think that these sites could get together and come up with some kind of uniform way to do this so that would cut the poaching off. Personally I love playing where I play but realizing how much money I'm missing out on because of the amount of hours I put in on cash tables at a site that doesn't offer rakeback is disturbing. It is a lot of money that i'm losing out on.

Cardschat doesn't promote or endorse rakeback in any way. It's seen as a ery bad thing to this industry by the ast majority who promote poker as it leads to player poaching between sites.

I do, however, understand that full time poker players need it in order to make a decent profit - so in that respect I can't really do anything about it.

I just realized this was probably the wrong place to post this because cardschat gains from signing up through them. I definitely don't want to step on anyone's toes, especially on their own forum. Does anyone know if I could open up a fulltilt account with the code of Cardschat and still get rakeback somehow?

There are sites which offer rakeback. However, since you generally have to sign up to a site ia an affiliate that runs the rakeback deal, the rakeback sites compete with CardsChats links, so I'm not posting any links to any such sites.
Rake is what is taken from each pot by the cardroom. This is generally something like 5% of the pot, and normally capped at something like $3 (for online games, although this aries from site to site). Rakeback is a deal where some of this earned rake is returned to you.
In World Poker Exchange's 100% rakeback deal, you simply add up the rake taken while you've been playing, divide it by the number of players at the table, and that's your share of the rake that will be returned. With other rakeback deals, where you get, say, 30%, you reduce your share of the rake to that percentage - so if the rake was $1, with 10 players, and 30% rakeback, then your share of the rake is $0.10, and you get 30% of that returned to you - so you get 3c.
As you can see generally it...

If you go near the top of the page, in the blue header, there is a Search option. Just type "rakeback" and you'll get loads of threads discussing the topic.

From what I understand, rakeback is a refund of the rake that you pay at cash games. Some sites (like the World Poker Exchange) offer this benefit to its players. I'm sure some of our other members could elaborate on this as well.

I have a general question about rakeback. First of all, what the heck is it? Does anybody have experience or testimonials about the different programs? Which poker sites will it apply to (I play on Pacific and Poker.com)?

what i've found out so far:
basically there are ery few sites that give rakeback on Titan, and even then, they all require you to create a new account.

I finally got through the PokerInside business and got a sponsorship at CDPoker (free $20)
I also get rakeback at %30.
Was way less complicated then i thought it would be, and if anyone's looking to have fun and create a new BR on CD, i highly suggest doing it through PI.
p.s. i already had an account at CD, but just had to create a new one with a new email address. Easy as pie.
Anyways hopefully i can actually build on this $20 rather than blow it all.

no, pokerstars are one of the sites that don't have any rakeback deals, but the rakes are a little lower than on most other sites, so you're not loosing money anyway. Partypoker and paradise poker are some of the other sites that doesn't have rakeback deals either.

Anybody know of a site that both has Titan as a site they will offer rakeback on, and don't require you not to have a previous account with them?

EDIT: also why is it that they require you to sign up for a new account? What difference does it make?

There's no sites that will give you rakeback on any ipoker site, unless you open the account through them, so you can forget about getting rakeback on Titan unless you can convince Titan to shut down your account and let you open a new one. But why don't you just transfer the money to another site and get a rakeback deal that way.

Prop players get rakeback from the sites.

I know someone that can hook you up but he would want to see you play first.

They want the referral dough.

I thought participating in rakeback programs was against most poker sites' policy and could be grounds for termination. It's in most User Agreements I've signed up with on sites, yet I still see rakeback stuff around. Is it just impossible for the poker site to prove or what?
