It can definitely be addicting, but I think it's all about BR management

I kept my per chip price to .25 or less. I bought my original 1000 piece set on eBay for $70 w/ shipping. They now charge $80 for the same set, but that's still only $.08/ea to your door. And these have actual denominations on them which makes it easier for casual players as they don't have to learn "my system of colors." They're not "casino" quality, but they're good enough for my friends and I. I especially like how They have no $ sign on them, so I can use them as ...

Having no one around to play a home game with I've never even looked at buying cards or chips before. Visited the link and some of those chips are pretty. (I know I'm such a gurl). Dang, now I want me some chips!

Depends on what kind of chips? Discount Casino Gear usually has good pricing for your run of the mill low end chips. I use The Samuel Thomas Company exclusively for cards (great prices and the best customer service experiences I've ever had buying anything online).

Do we have any chip or card snobs here? I know I prefer a game with nice chips and just flat out refuse to play with paper cards.

I don't know if this would go here or the lounge, mod please move if needed; Where is the best place you've found to buy chips?

Personally, I found PokerShoppe on HomePokerTourney. His prices seem ery reasonable for chips. The only complaint I may have is higher shipping since he uses FedEx/UPS, but I usually just wait until I can build a decent sized order $40+ and it doesn't seem too bad. The first time I ordered from him I ordered chips that he was out of stock on; it was clearly marked on the site, I just didn't pay attention; and he upgraded me to the next level chips at no charge. I've ordered from him 3 times and always had ery quick delivery and no problems with the orders.

Anyone else have a trusted site to order chips/accessories from?
