I haven't played on Full Tilt Poker in over 6 months. Been playing Stars, but want rakeback. I was thinking if I sign up with my same name but with a different address/email/credit card, I think I should be fine. And my original account was made on a different computer unlike my current laptop I will be using with different IPs at all times (due to me being at school too).

Anyone know how well this could work?

as long as u dont play the account and email Full Tilt Poker u would not get into trouble for it
they will just close the account u created and leave u with the one that u normally use

As far as an IP address you can add a new ethernet card and change that. In a desktop this is cheap. You're bigger problem is the laptop, and the fact that you have already linked the multiple machines together in the past as far as FT goes. So adding a new one might cause you problems.

New emails, new enet cards, new physical addresses, geesh!

I don't fault you for wanting to take advantage of offers for rakeback. FT should have their own rakeback scheme to bypass this problem and reward players. All sites should be rewarding major players. Hell B&M casinos at least offer free drinks, and that is to total strangers. I'd bet regular players get comped dinners regularly.!

The way I see it, you were quite happy with your poker playing experience before you learned about rakeback, so what has now changed? Simple - you've found out that others are getting a better deal than you. So what? If you were content before you knew about it, there's no reason why you should not still be content. You are no worse off than you were a week ago (you just realised that you could be better off - but that's ery different) so just settle for what you've got, and don't get consumed by jealousy or greed. Please note I do not mean that in any sort of insulting way.

If you are absolutely determined that you don't want to lose out, then open an account using the details of someone who has no interest in poker (and who you trust implicitly) change your ISP (so you get a new IP address if you existing one is static) and open a new account. I don't condone this (it's dishonest in my iew) and you'll probably end up regretting it somehow.

You mean an IP address. Well, I play on Full Tilt regularly on at least 3 different computers. On my laptop at my dorm, on my laptop at my house, or at my desktop at my house. What if I don't start transferring funds or playing with my new account until I'm back at my dorm (I'm on winter break now) at a different IP address? And what if I transfer funds from my old account to a friend, who then transfers the funds to my new account? How could they catch me?

They may not catch you initially, but they will when you go to cash out. There are always posts popping up on here from people who say..."I tried to cashout and FT banned me because I had some other account back in 2001 that I forgot about and it didn't even have any $ in it!!!! HELP!"

The rake is the rake. I don't know if your ...

If you don't log on with the same IP, I guess you could get away with it.

But how will you cash out without supplying info?

well i had 2 accounts and they banned me from 1 and left me with the other but i didnt try to get any rakeback or to cheat or whatever
but the thing is there is a double standard with this because if u play high stakes u can create as much accounts as u want and not get banned

anyway u pprobably will get banned unless u play 200-400nl or plo

Argghhh this sucks. If I took a minute to join rakeback when I created my full tilt account a few months ago, I would have another 8 or 9 k in my account right now. But I didn't know about rakeback when I first created my account. Can I ask you guys this, does pokerstars take as big of rakes from players as Full Tilt does? I already know that Pokerstars's point system is better than FT's but Pokerstars doesn't allow any rakeback.

Yep - and when you start transferring fron one to the other....

Sad thing is they will close both accounts when they catch you.

Yes, easily, and especially if you're trying to get around the rule with rakeback.

Don't bother with this, it won't work.

Well, I just created a new Full Tilt account so I could join a rakeback program. The rakeback site I will be using won't let me use the rakeback on an old account, you have to enter the code for them right when you create your Full Tilt account.

I know this is against the rules for Full Tilt but I don't care, I looked at my miscellaneous stats on sharkscope and they've made so much money off of me from the rake it's almost like they are robbing me. I created a new account and so far I haven't entered in my home address and other details. I plan on transferring some money to it from my old account to get started. Is there anyway Full Tilt can catch me?
