Grand Casino in Tunica has 2 0r 3 Buy-In 35 + 15 Entry Fee = 3000 chip MTT's running on Fridays last time I was there. If your looking to play a few tourneys this might be the best use of your mbank roll. Also players seem to be more open and friendly in tourny's to newcomers than ring games. Good luck amigo.

Depending on the casino you might find a 1/2 game but you'll only have 1 buy-in. You'll be underrolled for 2/4 but that may be the lowest they have going. I don't know what they spread there. I hope this is extra, I don't care if I lose it all type, money.

Just looked online at the Grand Casino website and it looks like they have NL tourney's on Tuesday's at 1:00 PM for $65+$15. That might be a better option for you if that's where you're going.

I can play decently. I've played on my 1st $20 dollar deposit on bodog for a year. I've been up to about 400, and down to about .40.
Currently im at $38 in bodog. What do you do with .40 in your bank roll. .5/.10 fixed limit til i get 2.20 for a SnG.

I play for fun. Low stakes of course. Sometimes i do $4 and cheaper MTT's

I'm in no way a professional. I just love the rush.

No there aren't always antes (depends on the game just like online).

Yes tip the dealers. Buck or two from any pot you take will be fine (depending on how big the pot is). No need to tip if your just winning the blinds without seeing a flop).

If you know how to play poker, tell the dealer and everyone else that will listen that this is your first time in a casino. This will do 2 things: First the dealer will help you out if you need it and 2nd the other players will THINK you're easy money and you'll get paid off.

Good luck.

I was able to isit Harrah's in New Orleans last April, and while you have people that understand that it takes a while to get used to playing in person ersus a computer. However, there were alot of jerks that just tried to rattle the new people.

Keep you "poker face" straight and you should be fine.

Good luck!

well really no casino is "newbie friendly" because there are always jerks looking to belittle someone
all u can do i be attentive always be aware of what position u are in, dont fold out of turn, always put ur anntes and blinds in the pot before the dealer asks u to,dont talk about a hand during the hand, do not tell ppl what u have during the hand,
just be concious of the game going on

ooh and i forgot the most important thing=take everyones chips
good luck

Hello everyone!

Some friends and I are going to Tunica for New Years.

I've been playing poker online at bodog for about 1 year now. I've never played in a casino. To be honest Im kinda scared to. I'm affraid that other players will get mad at me before i get settled in and get a feel for how things work. I understand how things work. Anyways...im babbling.

I was just wondering if anyone had any experience with poker at the Tunica, MS casinos.
Which one would be the most newbie friendly place to go and play?

Thanks
