The case in question (starting this thread) is of gnoming/family member nature though, so getting "only" the $50 for referring should still qualify as TAF being useful along with a sign-up (as opposed to a straight "no, you can't combine them") Still - these are minor points were discussing, and I basically agree.

I agree but the information given out by Grinder was not incorrect. He said you cannot get a sign-up bonus and a TAF bonus which is true. The situation you are describing is where your friend would get a sign-up bonus and you, the referer, would still get a $50 bonus. A new person cannot get both a sign-up bonus and the $25 bonus from TAF.
And for the record, I wasn't saying we should give out incorrect information. I was just saying that we shouldn't go out of our way to tell people how to use exploits especially ones that have been discussed many times. | | Static Link |

I agree with your conclusion: nr 2 is definately the problem. When I referred my wife to Party (as described above); I messed up the same way because I figgured I could get BW another sign-up, and used the banners here.
When the tell-a-friend bonus didn't work - I e-mailed Party to sort this out (since I had been upfront about the whole thing, and got it pre-approved); and they explained that I had used an affiliate link and that prevented the use of the TAF bonus.
However, I can't give exact directions how to use an affiliate code for bonus, since I only did this on Party Poker - and they offer the EXTRA30 code themselves. And using it meant my wife did not get the $25 deposit bonus part of TAF, but I still got the $50 for ... | | Read Entire Entry |

I have heard of people getting the stacked 25$ bonus along with another sign up bonus plus the 50$ referral. but i have never done it myself.
here is exactly what i did on my sign up that didn't work at multipoker
1. did refer a friend from my account on my main computer
2. i didn't download the software from the TAF email, but from an affiliate banner on a clean computer
3. i entered a affiliate bonus code to get the bonus.
What I think that would make it work is:
1. refer a friend from my account on my main computer
2. downloading the software from the TAF email
3. entering the bonus code from an affiliate.
i do not know if this will work and I would appreciate if some more experienced whore would critique my method. If someone tries it and it works would post a verification maybe along with a screenshot.

Grinder - sorry you didn't get them both. I guess it's too late to set it straight now, but I've posted a few times about how I did it, to make it work. Of course - they may have changed something, so it's simply no longer doable. It's been a couple of months since I did it...
Things that would make it not work, according to my experience:
- Downloading the software from an affiliate link instead of the link provided in the TAF e-mail
- Not using the TAF15 code when creating your account
- Using the TAF15 code for your first deposit (would give you $25 instead of the EXTRA30 type bonus)
We used all the instructions in the TAF e-mail, right up to the point where it says to use the TAF15 code for your first deposit. At that point my wife used the EXTRA30 they advertised in a pop-up instead, and got it. I still got the $50 for referring h... | | Read Entire Entry |

I agree that it is probably (though I haven't tried) not possible to get the full $50 + $25 (for tell-a-friend) plus a juicy sign-up bonus, but it is very doable to get the free $50 for referring a friend, while that friend uses the EXTRA30 code for the first deposit (and that's a damn nice bonus).
I have done it, and it worked. However, if Party stops offering the EXTRA30 to all new sign-ups for verifying their e-mail, this may no longer be true. | | Static Link |

...in summary though - I was allowed to refer my wife to Party Poker (e-mailed them to ask); and we share the same computer, last name, address etc. She has her own NETeller though, but that is discussed in other threads as well.
Like TheFreeze already said, I would encourage you to support the BW site by signing up through their banners instead of alternate means (like refer-a-friend or other affiliates). However, since you are only allowed to do refer-a-friend ONCE for that friend over the entire Party Poker network - I personally made the decision to refer my wife to her first Party skin for an extra $50 to me.
She did not deposit using the TAF15 code though, since the EXTRA30 code was a better offer. So she didn't get the $25 from the deal. More details on this in my other posts on the subject. | | Static Link |

2. I'm not sure what you mean by risky. Worse case is they lock both accounts but you said your sister is available to talk to them. Worse case is that they will ask you to provide ID etc.
3. Since these forums are supported and paid for by BW, not many people will recommend other affiliates for you to sign up under but again, there are many threads discussing this.

People see others posting about how they hate when people post bout gnomes and party skins and what not, and jump on the hate bandwagon. It is like a domino effect.

I have been playing party for 5 months, but lets say "hypothetically" that when i signed up I couldn't get a checking account, therefore I had to use my sisters info and account.
Ok, so now I have cashed out some poker profits and paid off my debts and got a checking account of my very own. So I want to sign up at PP in my name to get the signon bonus (going to deposit 500 for the %20 to 100). However, I was wondering if i could use my sisters account to refer myself ($50 for her, $25 for my) and stack it with the %20 signon bonus.
So my questions are,
1. are the refer a friend, and 20% signon bonus stackable?
2. is this too risky to try, (same IP, last name, etc.) I suppose I will withdraw all funds out of the old account after i get the whoring started.
3. which rakeback affiliate should i signup with for party and skins?
