Just my opinion.
It's a convenient feature, but dont' know that it will influence anyone to make future plays based on it.
After all, online hands happen seconds apart and I can usually remember my last mucked cards for that long. If I can't, it's the premature ejac ersion of rabbit hunting ...

This. Any good poker player realizes it doesn't matter if they flop a full boat with 59o, it's still a bad play to call with it. Now we just need to have an extra line in the chat box. After the line where it says who won with what, it needs to add if you would have won the pot "you would have won with [hand]."
With selective memory the way it is, it'll be no time before people think that every time they folded before it told them they would have won the pot, and we'll see people playing all kinds of crap.
And jt, what happened to your avatar? Used to enjoy reading your posts just for the picture at the top, now I'm actually going to have to find some good content to be impressed by your posts

Come on, now. There are scads of US citizens that are playing in the US. Your bank account is not the only way to deposit. Look at the alternatives in the Deposit Methods forum.

It is because I am an American Citizen. I have a uk bank account, but they will not allow me to deposit due to us gaming law...so wierd I know. Ive had 3 meeting with the bank manager about it, but does not look like it will be get sorted out any time soon.
I am ery happy playing live poker in London, and Am doing fairly well at it. (check out TheGhost9657 Poker Blog for more info on that).
But it is really annoying when you get home and really wish to play but you know you can not. Sux big time.

PokerStars is good, one of the best - up there with Pacific Poker and Party Poker..
If you use PS, the CC theme is pretty cool.

The majority owners of PokerStars.com have announced plans to part with their stake in the world's second-largest online poker site. Poker Stars, which was founded, and is 75% owned, by the Israeli Scheinberg family, has enlisted NM Rothschild, a large reputable merchant bank in London, to either sell or float the company in an IPO, in the hopes of receiving more than $2 billion.
Isai Scheinberg's enture into the world of online poker followed his career as a senior programmer for IBM in Canada, where he and his family now reside. Since the company's founding in 1999, he has run Poker Stars with the help of his two sons. The remaining 25% of the company is owned by Poker Stars employees.
Potential buyers of Poker Stars include Rank Group and William Hill, gambling companies better known for their bingo halls and sports betting, respectively. If Poker Stars floats in an IPO, however, it will likely choose the London Stock Exchange as its enue, following in the footsteps of many gaming c... | | Read Entire Entry |

The only thing in the news that I've heard about is that the family that owns it hired a broker and it is on the market. The estimated sale alue is 2 billion and the family will float the company later in the year if a sale cannot be finalised by the summer.

I googled it (pokerstars sale) and found several articles talking about a possible sale, though nothing about who or when, though maybe i couldn't find the right article. I have a feeling even if it is sold it probably wouldn't change things much, so i doubt i'd stop playing there.

I can think of 3 times in the last year or so that I have been playing on PokerStars that I have been disconnected for a short amount of time. However, these disconnections were due to the set-up at my house being screwed up. I have been at tables where 7 people suddenly get disconnected for 2 minutes and me and one other guy just stole the blinds every hand, but that has been the only time I've seen a mass connection problem.
