If you are only playing holdem might I suggest learning some new games? Helps keep things interesting and fun. I don't play holdem much so I use a variety of games to clear bonuses depending on the site.
For the primas or other sites that are contributed raked hands try 7Stud, 5Stud or Stud8. They really aren't hard games to learn. Personaly I don't like 7stud but I play 5Stud to clear bonus on some primas an... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: ed209 at May 26, 2005, 3:31 pm | | Topic: Taking suggestions Forum: Bonus Whores | as far as the standard 10x bonus sites go, I like Paradise a lot more than Absolute. they have better software, and games are better in both quantity and quality. the problem with Paradise is that the signup and reload bonuses are not too plentiful. most people will run the bonus through quickly and then wait 2-3 months before another one.
on absolute, the bonus situation is the opposite. they have 20% reloads every single week, and most players end up banking over $1000 worth of pending bonus with no hope and/or desire to ever work all of it off (especially since we have to stop and head over to party skins whenever one of their 7x reloads pop up). so people tolerate the bad software and weak-tight player pool on Absolute until a better bonus comes up. also, Absolute has good rakeback available where bonuses does not even deduct from MGR, whereas Paradise does not allow rakeback at all.

Gonzo spends a lot of time keeping it updated. It really is the best way to go. I'm assuming you had good experiences at Empire/Party. Well, there are 2 more skins listed in the 101 guide and 2 more that aren't. Sounds like you didn't have such a good experience at Caribbean Sun but they are the worse Crypto monthly and that's why they are listed last out of all the Crypto monthlies.
Personally I don't like Absolute. I play mostly 1/2 full ring. It's hard for me to find 2 or 3 tables during my play times and I usually 4 table. I don't like the fact that the tables are 9 max. I don't like having to manually request HH's for PT. If you like 6 max, they do seem to have more of those tables at 1/2. | | Static Link |

in general, LHE traffic on bodog is low during off-peak hours. the majority of action there is NL and tourney games, so low-limit grinders won't necessarily maximize their bonus time there.
the best overall bonus values are those which "any" raked hand counts towards the bonus. these are generally Party Skins, Cryptos, the "good" Prima skins, Absolute and Paradise. if you never go beyond $1/2 limits then you may never have to go past that with all the reload offers that occur between these.

You've done the Party skins and now you are looking for the next place to go. Right? Well, you have to keep in mind that you're going from the biggest pool of players in the world. So, every site you go to next will have less people/games than you have become acustomed to seeing. Even the other large ones (Pokerstars, UB, Primas, etc) will have much less traffic that Party.
Now Bodog is even farther down on the list in terms of site traffic. I think they are around 12 or 13th. That means there will almost always be games going, but maybe not at all limits, and you should not expect to see more that a 2-3 games going for any t... | | Read Entire Entry |

My PERSONAL OPINION is that you should work your way through BW 101.
Post any SPECIFIC questions that can not be answered from the site reviews or a forum search.
Once you are done with BW 101, pick a backup site. The two best choices are Absolute or Bodog. I suggest Absolute, because you can easily make $15-$20 an hour at the 6max $1/2 tables, if you take advantage of the reload bonuses+rakeback and play three tables.
Play at your backup site unless a BETTER than 10x bonus is available.
Absolute and Bodog only allow three tables, so use that extra spot to play monthly Cryptos, stacked Paradise reloads, stacked PS reloads, or whatever.
