But unibet has signed an agreement to buy Carlos poker for ~54GBP.
Wasn't Unibet prima? Last I recall. | | Static Link |

Gonzo and others, sorry for posting incomplete info...
I play NL50 on iPoker, full ring 10 seats. Exclusively, for the moment.
Thanks,
Marcus.
I'm coming up with something in the 45%-46% range. | | Static Link |

This is important to note because no points are given to less than 25 cent rake which for player at say nl25 would do better on rb because most of the pots that are raked won't get any points. Once you get to nl100 you are getting points for pretty much every rake. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: daraider at December 1, 2007, 3:51 pm | | Topic: BWs Carlos Poker Forum: Bonus Whores | Working out rakeback% for ipoker bonuses is a difficult thing to do as it heavily depends.
If your playing full ring your rb% is going to be higher than 6max and way higher than heads up(in fact these ipoker bonuses should never be cleared heads and take a rb offer instead).
It also depends on your play the tighter you are the higher the %, and looser you the lower the %.
I rarely get the bw listed rate and i consider myself semi-loose.
Ideally you need to look at your past play and work out approx how many points you would of earned at carlos and how much rake you would of played (if used other ipoker data this isn't that bad cause you might be able to find an approx point structure and the rake structure is the same).
This becomes quite complicated when your not useing ipoker data and you probably won't be able to get an estimate unassited. | | Static Link |

if you assume 73 hands per the hourly rate for the 30% rakeback changes to $1.13 per hour.
This makes the Carlos bonus very close (26%) to 30% rakeback.
PS I checked my PT stats again and at 50NL 6max I played 75 hands per hour. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Gonzo787 at December 1, 2007, 1:37 pm | | Topic: BWs Carlos Poker Forum: Bonus Whores | First of all, I think it depends on if you want to look at the bonus in terms of dealt rakeback or contributed. Lets go with dealt rakeback for discussion purposes. TKCampbell's 18% result does seem a bit low. So I looked into a bit. He's using 100 per hour. However, we use 73 hands per hour to figure out our SH NLHE rates (ask if you need the hands per hour for other games). If TkCampbell would have used 73 hands per hour he would have $3.77 in MGR per hour. So using Carlos Poker's $0.98 posted hourly rate, we would have 26% rakeback (0.98/3.77).
Then, I made the calculations using our data and here is what I came up with.... (I realize the hourly rates are a bit off, but for this comparison it should come out since both numbers are from the same data source:)
The Sun Poker 38.8% dealt rakeback rate we have listed on the review is $1.39. The Carlos listed rate is $0.98
0.98/1.39=70.50% (meaning that the Carlos Poker hourly rate for this limit is 70.50% of the 38.8% dealt rake... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: TKCampbell at December 1, 2007, 11:09 am | | Topic: BWs Carlos Poker Forum: Bonus Whores | I am going to take a stab at answering this and someone please correct me if I am wrong.
The way I have been comparing bonuses to rakeback on Ipoker is as follows:
From my PokerTracker stats for 50Nl 6max:
After 14928 hands my MGR is $770.79.
If I was receiving rakeback I would receive 30% of MGR or $231.23.
Assuming 100 hands per hour it took me 149 hours (14928/100) to earn that rakeback.
This works out to $1.55 per hour
According to the BW chart the 65x Carlos Poker bonus earns you $.98 per hour at 50NL 6max.
.98/1.55 x .3 = 18% rakeback for the Carlos Poker bonus.
I hope I have made these calculations correctly. | | Static Link |

I am not good with these kind of calculations, so a methodology of calculation would also be appreciated.
65pts / 1$
