That is correct, it is now a 20x £25 bonus, but you have to wager your own money first. No deposit required if you already have money there, just wager £500, and the £25 bonus will be applied automatically to your account. It doesn't stack, so you have to complete the requirements during the calendar month. There have been mixed reports on what has happened to the old stacked bonuses - some have claimed that they were clearing concurrently at 20x as well, but my experience was that they were clearing concurrently, but still at the original 40x. Your mileage may vary. | | Static Link |

Good point, actually. Didn't mention it since most people here are much more focused on poker than casino whoring.
The casino match requires a £25 (or more) deposit each month, so I eat the cost of that each month (about $1 or so based on 1.9% Neteller charge) even when I don't need to make a deposit, just to build those up. I think the idea of waiting a few months is vital too, mostly because with only £25, it is fairly easy to bust out quickly. I like having £75 - £100 in bonus money to work off, then sit down to a good whoring session to work off the WR and get the money released.
BTW, the current WR is 40x, not 30x.

Heh. In my experience, no normal consumer gets the rates that are posted at www.xe.com. Even when I'm abroad and exchanging currency, I've never gotten the rates you see there. XE is a good baseline, that's all. Also, the rate is consistent going back and forth from/to Neteller, so it isn't like they are giving you different rates coming and going. If you deposit £100 from a USD account then immediately withdraw it back to your USD account, you'll end up with something close to $96, not $90.
I agree Alphaunit1. I guess most whores just don't travel internationally. Try exchanging money at the airport some day and you'll see what not cheap really is . | | Static Link |

You can play the Casino with your normal poker account. Just log into the Casino, choose "Activate existing account" and enter your poker account data (you'll have to do this only once, thereafter your poker account is open to the Casino). You can see your balance in the lower right corner of the Casino window; it should include your bonus money and therefore be higher than the Withdrawal limit of your poker account. The third "note" at the bottom of the page lays out the 1.9% cost.
tees: The extra £50 is two months worth of casino bonuses. They are already in your account, ready to go. At UKBetting, you actually play out of this bonus money (in other words, if you play for an hour, and end up down £15, that £15 comes out of the £50 bonus funds, not your main withdrawable balance). When you are playing, it is a no-risk bonus to play it out. You'll need to wager £1000 to clear the first bonus, and an additional £1000 to clear the second bonus and any winnings you may make in the process. | | Static Link |

In my poker balance, my balance is £50 more than my withdrawal limit. I assume that the difference is the casino bonus. So I go to the casino and deposit £50, but my casino balance remains at £50, i.e. the casino bonus isn't added.
I called UKBetting to get clarification on how the casino bonus works, but I gave up after I still didn't understand what the representative was going on about, despite repeating herself 3 or 4 times.

Neteller claims not to take any conversion fees. But the difference in conversion rates translates to a fee of about 2-2½%. I checked this by taking all the money to a $-table just after depositing / just before cashing out and comparing the balance with my Neteller statement. There will be about £24.40 left from the £25 bonus. If you move $100 in both directions in the process, this costs you an extra $5 (or $25 for $500).
So given the conversion costs you should not move your money back and forth if you don't need to. Fund these accounts once and when you cashout your winnings, leave enough money there to play on next month... | | Read Entire Entry |

You do have the option at Interpoker of using the bonus at Intercasino or Interbingo instead of raking the hands at Interpoker.
Last month I decided to take the Interpoker bonus to Intercasino and I hit a nice little $500 jackpot. I was able to play through the bonus without too much problem.
Having some funds in UK Pounds is a nice little hedge against a falling dollar. When the dollar is going up, you want to make a move and cash out. That way the fees and conversion are covered by the favourable exchange rate. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: Alphaunit1 at April 22, 2005, 8:26 am | | Topic: uk and totalbetting conversion.... Forum: Bonus Whores | Hey, a question I can understand!
First off, you can't deposit in USD increments - you need to make your deposits in British pounds. Currently, the conversion rate is approximately $1.90 for £1.00 (give or take, it fluctuates a lot). If you deposit ~£263, you will be taking about $500 out of your Neteller account. If you make the deposit, play breakeven Poker for 5 hours, and withdrawal immediately, you will end up eating about $20 in fees (1.9% conversion rate each way, plus the £1 withdrawal fee, and that is assuming no change in exchange rate in between)... so if that is your plan (deposit, play, withdrawal); then you had better be playing better than breakeven poker, as you won't make anything on the bonus (it will cover your costs).
There are a few things that may make this worthwhile:
1) Play on Tuesdays/Thursday at the £ tables - they normally run different hand promotions which you MAY get, which adds to the value of playing there.
2) Not deposit ... | | Read Entire Entry |
