It would be illegal to use a fake identity or to use someone else's identity unwillingly. It's not illegal for your girlfriend to have an account, it's not illegal to log on to your account from someone else's computer, and it's not illegal for someone else to play on your account (at least I don't think it is, if nothing else it is impossible to enforce so I doubt it is listed in their TOS as illegal, and most certainly would not be subject to anything more than a warning if it were somehow discovered). I see your point though, alpha that by "abusing" the bonus he may be ruining it for everyone. But I think you have to realize that anyone who makes an effort to "bonus whore" is going against the spirit of the bonus, and is also helping to ruin things, just not twice as fast. I'm trying to avoid sending new players down the wrong path - the one where they get their accounts closed for being greedy, and having the poker sites create horrendous rules and restrictions and bump up the WR to a point where the bonuses aren't even worth doing, all because a few people got too greedy.
I'm not picking on you personally, bkcloutier, but justifying getting high bonus returns by using multiple accounts at the same skins isn't really something that should be taught as the "right way" to a new person to these forums. I'm glad you are successful with it, but if I were you I'd keep it to yourself and enjoy the opportunity you have for as long as you can.

Add cryptos, which have become much tighter than before
Add the primas with weekly/monthly/semi-regular reloads
Add the misc Party reloads
Add rakeback at Absolute

I stopped reading after that line. I think we should focus on how you can make $2k legitimately as a single player, not with multiple accounts at the same sites. I only have a single account at every site I play at (no accounts for the wife, daughter, cat, dog, etc.); and I can make the figures I posted earlier, nor do I think it is out of reach to make $2k in bonuses if you spread yourself out to enough sites. | | Static Link |

Additionally, any bonus that I could claim and push off to another month (UltimateBet, PokerRoom, Interpoker) I did, so that total doesn't even include those. I think hitting $2k/month in bonuses is possible, but without a doubt you have to play at a LOT of different sites to achieve that goal. I would suggest just shifting through the bonus forum to see what has come up lately. There are a lot of people here that make over 2k a month but more and more of it I think is coming from play rather than bonuses although there are certainly enough to do 2k a month if you do some of the smaller sites. | | Static Link |

Hitting up the smaller sites like the Primas and other skins (PR, cryptos, etc...) Check out Zo's Whoring 101 post (it is on the BW homepage too I think) and it will list a lot of sites and I think lists their reload potential for a year. | | Static Link |
