You don't need to deposit $400 or whatever to clear 250 or 300 hands, and then have to wait a week to get all that money into the next site. Just deposit $150 play it at 1/2 limit. No problem. If you play tight aggressive you shouldn't need too much money to clear these small bonuses and if you run out you can always deposit more.
With Littlewoods though, because it is in pounds, it's probably best to plan not to withdraw too often. If you deposit/withdraw every month you'll probably lose a few points on the exchange.

Seems like nonstop bonuses and rakeback, although, I don't ever see a ton of tables available at what I play (.25/.5NL). I've read that about UB. But, it sounds like at Prima, 50NL will not qualify for rake very often at all (like Intertops). Not sure where to go next if not UB. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: ed209 at July 13, 2005, 3:45 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | you should just go ahead and settle your own argument by either asking Empire directly, or by trying the reload bonus code on your initial deposit and see what happens. you want us to sign off on your brilliant idea before proceeding, even though no one here agrees with your reasoning.
the point you fail to see is, you can do the same 10x/$100 bonus at Paradise (25-50% up to $100 with affiliate code) or Absolute (100% up to $100); both of which have more favorable rake schedules as well, and then you don't have to hem and haw aimlessly about the Empire reload which you can't even get in the first place. | | Static Link |

Forum: Bonus Whores | | and about the cryptos...I think I'm going to wait until I have a much larger bankroll to get started on those. I'd rather not wait 2 weeks for my pin number for just an hour worth of play. I have a limited bankroll and would like to stay active with it, rather than tying it up for 2 weeks at the cryptos. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: jmillerdls at July 13, 2005, 3:04 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | | once again, I'm not arguing that a higher percentage is better (I refer back to me not interested in doing Hollywood Poker's bonus). But, I think if we were add up the time it would take me to do bonuses at several smaller sites with small match bonuses (including time to withdraw from the site back to neteller); with quicker clearance rates (5-7x); it would take me longer to earn $100 in bonus than it would if I just did the one deposit at Empire that I would get in one stop, albeit for 10x. I'm not here to argue with you about clearance rates and efficiency. This is a question about whether I could use this code for my first time signing up. I feel it is quicker to get $100 with a $200 deposit at 10x (which I could clear in one day, and withdraw); than do several of the smaller sites where I would have to wait days for each withdraw (and then I would miss out on this limited time offer). | | Static Link |
| Posted by: ed209 at July 13, 2005, 2:51 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | | your use of the word "favorable" is strictly your own opinion. how many people who replied to you so far said that a lower bonus clearing rate per raked hand justifies a higher percentage deposit match? your mathematically unsound, one-dimensional approach to what is otherwise a completely imaginary scenario is really not worth discussing any further. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: ed209 at July 13, 2005, 1:09 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | this whole thread is pretty much pointless since you will NOT be able to get the reload bonus terms on an initial deposit.
the point of building your bankroll to $500 is to maximize the 20%/5x initial bonuses at the party skins. so there's no logic in using a party skin with less than $500 to build your funds, because then the bonus will already be killed when you come back.
just use the BW101 guide like all the other newbies who came before you. gonzo didn't type all that sh*t up just for kicks you know. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: jmillerdls at July 13, 2005, 12:35 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | | no, I completely understand what you guys are saying. I know what you mean about the clearance rates (that's why I am not doing the Hollywood Poker bonus that only needs $200, to get to $1000 in bonus). I think 10x is a reasonable rate, and will likely be doing a lot of bonuses with it. I think at this point, the reload bonus will get me to my destination ($500 so I can take full advantage of most sign up bonuses) faster, and use up less initial bonuses in the process. | | Static Link |

Forum: Bonus Whores | | if you only have $250 then you ae putting youself in a poor situation. it is always better to have a lower clearence rate IMO. i would do the initial signup with what you have, and forget about this reload. then build your bankroll and then take full advantage of the party skin sign ups | | Static Link |
| Posted by: ed209 at July 13, 2005, 8:06 am | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | it's a common beginner's mistake to think that the amount and/or percentage match of a deposit bonus is more important than the clearing rate. with that mentality, why not do the 100% bonuses at Full Tilt or Noble Poker, or even the 1000% bonus on Games Grid (I highly suggest you NOT consider any of these for your $250 bankroll, by the way).
if you read the Bonus Whoring 101 guide on this site, you'll see that it is not recommended that you set up at any of the party network skins until you have at least $500. with the amount of money that you have to start with, you can probably get the best overall deals at Paradise, Absolute or Bet365. | | Static Link |

they did answer your question, just not directly
yes, you can, but it's not exactly the 'smart' thing to do, as you should take advantage of both. But, in your situation, I guess it's plausable to only the reload as your deposit.
A bonus is a bonus, and you can use any code you wish for your first deposit. You can only do a "deposit bonus" on your initial, though.

| Posted by: sleeper at July 12, 2005, 3:28 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | you can stack them, which means if you make two deposits both bonuses will be credited and they will clear in order. You don't need to clear the first bonus before you deposit for the second. So you could deposit $500 and then $200 and have both bonuses (need to clear it in 10 days or so whatever the expiration of the second bonus would be) or if you wanted to you could deposit something like $50 for the first deposit and then $200 and only have to play 50 raked hands (5x) before you played the 1000 (10x)
You probably dont want to waste the first deposit bonus like that though, and empire will have more reloads. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: jmillerdls at July 12, 2005, 2:59 pm | | Topic: Can you use reload bonus for first deposit?? Forum: Bonus Whores | | easy enough to answer...the reload is 50% to $100, so I would only be required to deposit $200 to get $100. The initial deposit is only 20%, requiring a $500 deposit. Next, The reload bonus ends on the 13th, so I would not have time to clear the initial bonus, and then deposit for the reload. See why the question is relevant? | | Static Link |

How is it better? This would be kind of silly to do anyway-- why not take advantage of both? | | Static Link |
