I think its the same as before, but you must contribute to the pot. The BB, SB and antes count as contributing, even if you fold before the flop or 4th street. On that count UB is better than AP, where you must see the flop or 4th street to earn any points.

Fact is that bonus whoring is pretty much over for US players. You have to learn to play a winning game of poker. Whoring used to be so good that it didn't matter if you were break even, or a slight loser at the games. Now it does. I was only slightly +EV at the tables, but made a boatload from bonus. No more.
I now just play online poker to pick up a few bucks, and keep my game as sharp as possible. Hopefully I can crush the occasional live game. | | Static Link |

Since the law I've been playing less and less, each time settling for something worse, getting used to it, then having that bonus removed or severely reduced. Now both of those are gone (Bodog) or miserably low bonus (UB).

I was actually suprised when AP bought UB. UB seems to be one the sites with great stream of traffic and stand alone. It has generally generated more traffic and AP too. I didn't get why a smaller site bought a bigger site out(remember there are a few sites on the AP network so a % of that traffic isn't AP's).
UB was publicly traded when the UIGEA passed, the only solution was to bring it private to keep taking US players. This is why there was a merger. | | Static Link |
