Pino isn't even standing by his recently "revised" terms now.

He still owed me two payments of $300 each and offered me $300 immediately and the other $300 as either 100X rollover in the casino or 30% rakeback. Neither of those appealed to me so I decided to just take the $300 and count the other $300 as a loss (keep in mind I still haven't even received all of my original deposit back yet, nevermind bonus or winnings)

Then he cancelled that withdrawal and my account.

THANKS FUTUREBET! THANKS ONGAME!

Not a hard topic to discuss, you were all screwed.

When you get nothing or do this, most of the time you 'do this'

I've had time to think about this whole deal. I am pretty disappointed in it, not because I busted, but because the terms were changed halfway through. 4x wagering on blackjack was originally agreed on. Then my last payment mysteriously turned into 100x wagering.

Did anyone else have their payments go from 4x wagering to 100x?

Shortly after I busted, Pino offered to have my last payment clear at a rate of 30% of rake. He was also disappointed that I did not play as much poker as others. With an $800 bankroll, only NL100 was reasonable, but also a waste of time for me as NL600 is my normal stake. I did not want to deposit more because Pino was "this close" to "walk(ing) away" from the site.

Pino credited my 3rd installment sometime between my last post and last night.

It was credited as regular cash like he agreed to before. I assume it had the same 4x rollover he wanted before, but I gambled it up with some multihand blackjack and lost it of my own accord

Update: Pino paid my last installment of about $300 in "free money" as opposed to adding it to my balance. Unfortunately, I did not know that this had a 100x wagering rate of clearance. Quite the increase in wagering from 4x as specified earlier. I was also giving / going to give more action on the poker tables. I busted that and more trying to clear the "free money".

I guess this is the most effective way to contact Pino. My last 2 or 3 emails in July have not been replied to. Please contact me regarding last installment, Pino.

Pino did get in touch with me after my post, above, and after some discussion, he immediately processed my pending cashout and credited my last installment. Now it's just a question of winning a lot of money at blackjack

I assume you mean 4th.

No I didn't. The cashout of my 3rd installment has also been blocked. Pino said he'd be in touch about it Real Soon Now. Two weeks now, so I was thinking about starting a brand new thread on the subject.

The second "installment" has been put into my PurePoker account. The withdrawal for my first installment cleared in under three hours. A lot better than most casinos I've dealt with

Well....having started this thread, I'm happy to say that its finally winding to an end. I've never had the troubles with Pino that some people are describing. I merely asked him for a description of the T&C and received them in the hour. When something was unclear, I asked, and he sent me a larger explanation and a calculation example. Whenever I email Pino I get a reply within the day, and to me its clear the guy is trying to make the best of a Former-PurePoker-Owners-created mess.

I've received the first of my four installments two weeks ago, played them 4x (made a little profit ), cashed them out some days ago and received it tonight.

So I (at least) am ery happy with the arrangements Pino and Futurebet (and let's not forget the meister) have made for me.

Why can't such an offer just be put in simple writing and issued to the players? It would probably end most of the discussion here.

Shortly after I posted here, Pino emailed me with confirmation of what the cashout rules, schedule, and wagering requirements are.

As this thread proves, you can never tell when someone you're dealing with online will just disappear (hit by a truck, or whatever), so it's good to at least get one written confirmation . I do believe Pino will honor the agreement anyway... as long as he doesn't get hit by a truck

(by the way, a few years ago a co-worker made a comment like that about me, and two days later my car was totalled by a cement truck on the highway)

It's all ery informal, and I don't really like "informal".

Apparently "Pino" did not appreciate my remark above, judging by the rather abrasive email I received from him today. I stand by those comments, nevertheless.

Pino says that every player owed has been looked after and is happy with the arrangements that he has apparently made with them in private on the contents of their accounts at PurePoker.

Whilst I cannot comment on that as it is outside the scope of my information I guess the players themselves will have the last word on it.

In the meantime, here's my response to this operator which really sums up my personal iew of the PurePoker debacle:

I'm not entirely sure I like your tone in this email, Pino but I will nevertheless give you the courtesy of a response.

If you have met all the PurePoker obligations to the legitimately owed players (and time will soon enough tell if you have) then the matter is clearly resolved, although the delays and attempts to bargain players down from what was ...

So, Pino's still involved in this solution, but without knowing what the *few conditions* pertaining to the withdrawals (which presumably cover all monies in player accounts) it is difficult to assess the fairness of this offer, and the 4months of instalments will not appeal to everyone.

How do the aggrieved players feel?

This is ridiculous. I don't even have any money involved here and I'm disgusted. Pokerroom/Ongame shouldn't let their reputation be sullied by the likes of FutureBet and the skins they license to. I'm sick of PurePoker, Revolutionary, and Bayou. So I guess I'm really sick of FutureBet! Hard to believe Daniel Negraneu would be associated with a skin (Full Contact) licensed through these folks. I guess the next Future Bet license for a poker room will be going to Dutch Boyd. Now that wouldn't be surprising.

Of course FB *can* pay. But the first responsibility is on the site, not the software provider. I don't think anyone here believes that FB has run out of money.

That said, my account is currently unlocked and I have a (verbal only) agreement to get my money over time, with added playthrough on my part. Since I left the money in there in order to play it anyway, that doesn't bother me. Never heard a peep from FB, and have nothing in writing (letter or email), so I'm mostly on faith here.. (but better to wait for a letter with an unlocked account and some of my money than a locked account and no money )

Thanks Jetset,

Just don't know why they can't pay players when a deal like this has a payment schedual.... right around the time people are having problems......

Quote

"1. A deposit of $325,000.00USD on closing. (Dec 14th/05)

2. Initial deposit to be paid to FutureBet Systems Inc. on delivery of all "assets", ie., newest source code ( known as ersion 2.4) with translated games in the languages described in Exhibit A.

3. Installments of $30,000.00USD 30 days after the closing and $40,000.00USD 60 days after the closing.

4. The balance of $255,000.00USD to be paid upon effectiveness of the Buyers registration statement and concurrent funding with Cornell Capital due payable no later then March 31st 2006. "

I'm open to correction on this, but I seem to recall that this deal referred to a sale to CYOPS of the source code (rather like the deal that was done with IGS, enabling them to 'tweak' same as opposed to a licensee who doesn't have that level of *ownership*

I'm not sure that it applies to this case other than an interesting deal by Futurebet on what must be its major asset.

http://sec.edgar-online.com/2006/01/...8/Section7.asp

take from it what you will.... Don't know why this document is online just found it interesting when I came across it looking into futureBet. I don't even know if the link is to an agreement which actually went through....
