Thanks everyone for the information, I would guess the 1-150 sounds accurate or at least pretty close. I am new here and this looks like a nice site. Well i am going to start flipping a coin maybe I'll save my money in the long run, that is until football starts.

In Thunderstruck the average feature win is actually only 35.3*bet size. So if you have played 800 spins without a feature, do not except to be saved by hitting the feature soon. If you want a slot where the average feature win is much higher than this, then I can only think of Isis, but this is of course on the cost of the dry spell between the free spins.

While I can certainly understand why "Yellbird" would be wondering what was up going over 810 spins without hitting a bonus feature, I personally had zoomed past the 650 barrier last fall/winter a handful of times (and went past the 850 mark as I recall a couple of times). It's not as rare as I think many believe it to be, but fairness, I had played TONS of slots at that time... more than I should have been (gulp!). Although I really haven't played much - slots that is - over the past several months, I haven't hit a rough patch like that in quite some time (whew!), and I hope I never do again.
There's nothing more disheartening for me when playing slots, than waiting just one last time for those "FREE SPINS" to kick in prior to logging-off. Far more times than not, either the big payoff doesn't strike or by the time it does, my credits are really low and the payoff is appalling.

It would be 1 in 200 chance of going 800 spins without the scatters if the odds were that low (1 in 150 chance per spin).

i'm gonna try and explain hehe.
a run of 800 bad spins or whatever is statistically ery unlikely, but over a zillion times such a run may occur as it's random.
like flipping a coin, in 100 flips you probably won't get a run of 10 heads in a row but after 1000000 flips such a run might well have occurred at some point in the sequence. nothing stops the coin from falling the same way so many times in a row, but it's so unlikely you'd have to flip a long ass time to actually see it happen. like getting dealt a pat royal; not likely to happen on any given session but over 10000 sessions is ery likely.
have i done well? cheers evry1!

I agree with you and what is really odd they have given me somewhere around 780 casino points which is 780 dollars and that is when I hit the 3900. I then played a while longer and withdrew the money but had gave up the rest of the casino rewards. Now when I get casino Rewards they deduct them from the ones I gave back, strange world.
I also agree with you about slots but for whatever resason I seem to do well with that game, if only I would get the self control to quit my session while ahead.

Your last sentence has me a little confused, are you saying it was unlikely to happen but bound to eventuly happen in many thousands of spins.
I appreciate your knowledge and point of iew.

The chances of it not happening after 800 spins is about 1 in 3000 (.99^800). This is nowhere near as unlikely to happen in your playing career as you will have probably spinned hundreds of thousands of times and in those spins it will be quite likely for a run like that to happen at least once.

I just tried again and went 355 spins without hitting them and kept playing and hit them and during the 3 free spins I hit them 2 more times for a total of 30 free spins, guess I am a little spastic. After all that broke even for the night.
Guess its time to remove my clothes and start running.

I've encountered spins like that where I didn't hit anything too. Upwards to the thousands. Luckily it was low rolling. Less than .50. It happens. Not ery likely though.

I would say they probably would come up at least once within $200 of play, sometimes it may be $300 but there are times they come up 2-4 for in $200.
I cannot remember them never coming up within $300 and that is playing at many differant sites.

This month he's already wagered and deposited a similar amount and was up another $8k profit this month last time I checked.

I started playing Mermaids Millions at (unnamed casino until I get an answer from them) about 2 months ago. I play for $3.75 a spin and in the time I was playing was down about $2000.00. I was not happy but that is gaming. Anyways, I happen to get lucky and won about $3900.00. Everything was normal until I won the $3900.00.
Right after that as I kept on playing the next few days I could not hit the 3 Scatters. They are not a Jackpot but they do give you a chance because you get $15.00 plus 10 free spin’s that pay triple. After a while without hitting them I was getting angry and decided to keep playing until I did hit them. To make a long story short I ended up spinning 810 times without getting them. That is spending $3037.50 and never hitting them. I of course didn’t lose that much because I did have some decent hits along the way but I still lost about $800. This was Microgaming software and have written a letter to them to see what they have to say. I will then contact the Casino.
