Hi all,

An update on performance and Video Poker. After considerable work in June and July we feel that we have resolved the game play issues that were reported on this thread. If any of you are still experiencing problems please let me know.

Virgin Casino will also be putting 7 new Video Poker games live on w/c 20th August. Several of you mentioned the fact that we were light on our selection of VP so we’ve increased our selection of Video Poker games to 9 and will be working with Wager Works on developing new ariations.

If you’re interested in Slots there’s a new Pyramid Slot going live in August and there are some great new games coming in the next few months like Cleopatra, a new ersion of Wheel of Fortune and a new ersion of Monopoly.

Thanks for all your feedback and let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

It looks like the 10 Play J or B Video Poker is only full play at the £1 coin size i.e. £50 per sheet.

A bit rich for my tastes I am afraid.

Its a pity they dont offer full pay J or B at all coin sizes as per other Wagerworks casinos.

Looks like if you wanna play a lower coin size J or B then avoid Virgin

Thanks Virgin!

Now that the VP is back to full pay the upgrade definitely is an improvement

To be fair to Virgin they do offer regular promotions and some of these are ery good offers IMHO.

The recent World Cup promotion based on the number of England goals is a decent bonus, just a shame England cant score more goals

I also love WagerWorks games & am delighted they are ironing out these annoying bugs!

Now, if only the casinos would offer some decent ongoing bonus promotions for existing players - I might even play it again one day...

Thanks for taking a look at the site and I'm ery glad to see a few positive comments.

We are updating our ideo poker suite at Virgin Casino and we will soon have the full WagerWorks selection up on the site. We're working on this now and should have an upgrade in the next week or two.

Thanks again for the feedback and I'll let you know when the games are live.

Having played here since the upgrade I can confirm that its much better although at peak periods you can still get some delay and I did get the one window open error message on one occassion.

I do like the new website design, much better than before.

I would also like to see them offer full pay 10 Play J or B at all coin sizea as per other Wagerworks sites e.g. GetMinted, Paddy Power.

Why do Virgin Casino not offer full pay 10 Play J or B as this is obviously available to them?

Hi Josh,

As I've said allready, I love WagerWorks games but I must say that it is still damn slow.
I've just tried it on demo mode and I've left the game because the reels where spinning for more 10 seconds.
I like the new design, you really needed to refresh it.
Why don't you give a open access to the games like BlueSquare instead of asking the e-mail adress ?
I'm asking that because I'm developing a portal and I would like to offer your games in demo mode.

Hi all,

As promised, an update on this one:

Wagerworks has now released a new ersion of their Casino software, with a fix to the problems you reported in this thread.
Our freshly redesigned Virgin Casino site is now live with this new release.

First logs show that peak-time delays have been reduced and session related error prompts/timeout problems have now disappeared. Wagerworks are still working on improving speed of game play and I will post again as soon as I am 100% confident that all game delay issues have been resolved.

This is still early days however, so we do rely on your feedback to fully assess the improvement.

Let us know if and how your peak-time experience at Virgin Casino has improved, or if you still encounter any of the problems listed in this thread.

Thanks in advance.

Josh

I have not tried this yet, and these tales do not inspire me to either!
If the response is only poor during peak times I would tend to agree that the fault is at the casino server or it's connections to the internet. It might be worth finding out where the server is located.
The loading of previous hands is worrying, especially if the correct hand is oided but the bet lost (this should not happen). If the software allows the previous hand to be replayed this is another worry (possibly open to abuse by the clever player!).
I would ask whether there are too many of these wagerworks franchises opening in association with UK betting firms for the servers to cope with.

Flash is now on www.adobe.com, who have taken over macromedia. The latest Flash ersion is 8, although it seems to give ersion 7 on the install link. I am getting bogus Flash errors at a couple of MG casinos too, and wonder if a bug in Flash might be at the root of this.

Macromedia supply a flash uninstall t...

I love WagerWorks.
It's one of my facourite software.
They have uncomparable slots.
But the slow software and error message issue are just wasting everything.
"You can only play one window at a time" seems to be one of most known error message in the UK online gambling community.
I also don't understand that such a company can't devellop more than 1 or 2 new games per year.

I play at Wagerworks regularly, but try to keep as far away from evenings as possible.

6-11pm is a complete joke, with hands taking forever and constantly timing out leading to the software needing refreshing (which then takes another 30 seconds or so to realod).

At off peak times it's totally fine which leads me to believe they haven't got the server power to handle the peak time traffic - which is unbelievable really when you think about it.

I'm also amazed they've managed to get so many big names form the UK betting industry, the people making the decisions for them obviously don't bother to actually play the casino as a normal player would (i.e. peak times).

It's a shame really because they've got some great original games (21+3 and Texas Holdem Shootout to name two), and if it wasn't for the hassle playing at peak times it'd be my favourite software.

Yep - got all the same error messages. Also had something similar to the above, but playing VP. A game got interrupted when I was holding a pair of aces... only to come back with a different set of cards. I still had a pair of aces but in different positions (I think it was identical to an earlier hand).

If it was a one-off you might cut them some slack, but it's been going on for years (you'd have thought they might prepare for an extra load on their servers when they offer a bonus). A crying shame as the companies using the software are among the most trustworthy out there.

If you ever feel the temptation to play at one of these casinos I would suggest that you would find it preferable to stab your eyes out with a rusty knife.

This thing is really freaking me out now.

Time out, reload, get 10 s 5, double 'Oops, please reload the page'

Page comes back, I have a different balance and A/3 s 7.

I think the 10 s 5 might have been old,, but then I thought the A/3 was as well.

Somebody needs to sort this crap out.

btw, just for an indication of speed, I deposited £200 at 9:36 BST, and it's now 10:36, and I have bet only £5,500 at £50/hand.

That's 100 hands in an hour.

You can bet over 1000 hands on RTG.

Even Boss software, which is one of the slowest would be 400+.

Why do big corporations like Virgin use this steaming pile of dung?

I don't mind losing my money, but crappy software that times out every other hand gets my goat.

What was that first amendment again?
