I definitely saw the progression thru the year. In the first 6 months, winnings were 1/3, bonus 2/3. In the last 6 months it had completely reversed, 2/3 winnings, 1/3 bonus. Was the question whether you could make 75k in bonus? Good lord.

$3K in Bonus
$300 from Play (Just can't seem to shake the chasers)
$4200 Tourneys
Paid for the wife's new kitchen but I just can't seem to get out of the FLH standard deviation bubble though.

JP, correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't most of that from actual play?
you doubt the power of an army of gnomes?

Also i agree with the person who said that once you get more comfortable playing that you will play higher limits for bigger bonuses...like absolute. I tried playing it at .5/1 limit, and yea that was no good...so i started playing 1/2...lost a little at first b/c i played tight but once you learn how the tables are, you think, why did you not start playing this earlier...anyway i hope my good fortunes continue this year...same to all you other BW!!! GOOD LUCK IN 06!!! | | Static Link |

Now? Phew...bonuses are good, but you'd better be a decent player to clear them anymore.

No doubt it would be tough to reach, and you would certainly need to multi-table fairly extensively. Anybody who would spend the time necessary to reach that goal perhaps might be better served in the long run to work on their game, move up and work on bonuses that are more more attractive at the higher limits (Poker Network, Action, Tribeca etc).
The BW101 in its present form is more of a bankroll builder and a tool for players to explore other sites that they might enjoy. I think once players get rolling, they start to become more comfortable and educated enough to develop their own path and find/do bonuses that are the most appropriate for their situation. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: MyTurn2Raise at February 3, 2006, 12:39 pm | | Topic: has anyone made close to potential income of bw 101 Forum: Bonus Whores | I've made about half that in bonuses in fiscal year 2005
But, I do this as a 40 hr/wk job
Remember, the 101 doesn't include every site
holdempoker, checknraise, martin's, etc came with some nice deposits and reloads this year that are not in the 101
Hopefully, others will step up to the plate this year
Absolute is now my fall back after everything 10X or better is gone
That site was better before it made ARPs harder to get in early Dec? I think

If I could have Absolute bonuses and Party players - - well then I know I must have died and gone to the hereafter.
You would have to be a deticated grinder to play off all the Absolute bonuses. But it is an option.

| Posted by: KikoSanchez at February 3, 2006, 12:12 pm | | Topic: has anyone made close to potential income of bw 101 Forum: Bonus Whores | | Atleast half of that is coming from Absolute, which pumps out bonuses at like 2 a week, plus another 40k in bonuses from elsewhere, you would have to be a complete machine to do that. Now maybe it meant the bonuses + potential table profits. 75k from just whoring sounds a bit inflated but it may be possible. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: booya at February 3, 2006, 11:43 am | | Topic: has anyone made close to potential income of bw 101 Forum: Bonus Whores | | I notice that in the bonus whoring 101 link, it says you can make $75k potential income. Of course, I would think that it would take a TON of time and/or either bigger bets clearing the bonuses. But I was wondering has anyone reached close to that figure in one year or think its doable? | | Static Link |
