^ That's good to hear. I think the casino used its discretion wisely in the end for a player who made an innocent mistake.
Perhaps they were even monitoring this thread and became persuaded by the criticism of their actions.

The problem here is in believing the casino is your friend.
WRONG, they are after your money. Reputable ones will be satisfied with the long term house advantage, and their confidence in their promotions. They will honour their own mistakes.
Less reputable outfits will treat any mistake as a "deliberate act", and will uphold any terms that allow them to pay less. In this case, they were happy to accept your deposits despite the fact it would only need a simple software check to discover the difference in names, had you lost, you would never have known this was a problem. It may even be that had you withdrawn less than total deposits on that card they would have been happy to pay, but when players come out ahead the full set of tests are done.
Sadly, this leaves halifaxplayer trussed up like the proverbial Christmas turkey, ready to roast. eCogra would side with the casino on this, as this is a breach of the terms about allowing others to use your account.

That might be a realistic iew "IF" there was a law governing online casinos... but with no regulation... and no one to enforce any illegal or unethical actions by online casinos... they pretty much can... and do... whatever they please.
The Virtual group of casinos are ery well known for exactly that.
Looks like lately... a lot of other groups are following suit.

This looks like the problem.
Are you playing a casino account registered by your ex?
If this is the case, you really should have cleared this with support beforehand. This often catches out "innocent" players who really did not intend to defraud anybody, but provides casinos with a fantastic excuse not to pay (they can think one of the deposit methods is "stolen money"). Sometimes, couples DO play together on one account, but they get caught out when they both register their own deposit methods. This leads to a situation where the name on a deposit method does not match that on the casino account - it doesn't matter that you can prove the card is yours, what matter... | | Read Entire Entry |

So they are saying that the name on the credit card used to deposit is different than the name on the casino account. But you are saying you have furnished documents to prove that you are indeed the owner of the CC, and the name matches what's on the casino account. Do I have this right?

time for further action i think
wonder how many others they have ripped off in this manner?seems the whole egas lounge group is the same. the simple fact is i deposited $150 ( $50 x 3 ) which they had no problem accepting and i won $1000, reversed $50 again which they had no problem doing, leaving a balance of $950 which they dont want to pay. there must be a law against that somewhere and i intend to find and use it

^ I went back and read your previous thread on this issue. Can you tell us where this dispute stands now? Is there still a problem, in the casino's eyes, that the address on your account is different than the current address on your personal documents?
