This goes against the "excuse" that these others operate because RTG has a "hands off policy (what us? - we just supply the software)", they can, and will, act when they want to.
no updates on Hippojo i Guess.... I think no news is bad news in this situation..

Actually, it has happened before. Gamblers Lobby from way back is one that comes to mind. And they owed about $15,000 grand. That's all.
I'm not sure how much HJ owes, but it looks like they owe just about everyone.

No idea, but like I mentioned, they have access to player account information and will still have all the info at hand on making payments. I hope it is only an issue of "when" and not "if"

Which in itself is not ery professional.
Ignoring people with whom you have done business and who have a legitimate complaint is hardly what I would have expected from this guy - he and his sidekick Signell are one huge disappointment.
The total amounts involved are probably not even that large, either.

If I may, I'd like to butt in here briefly. I (and I know Bryan has too) have repeatedly contacted these two industry people who were managing this casino, demanding progress reports and urging them to communicate with their players on what's happening.
Often these communications do not get a response, but on two or three occasions Sheehan and Signell have offered as excuses that the former was involved with a family tragedy which has complicated his life, but that both managers are working on the problem and have given unspecified assurances that their players will be paid.
What "the problem" is has not been clarified, but I'd guess it is to do with funds from the owners/investors.
Sheehan has been told that personal issues cannot and should not be allowed to get in the way of the professional issue of paying players timeously and fairly. I sense that he is the senior of the two managers, as Signell has merely reported his assurances that players will be paid.... | | Read Entire Entry |

Regrettably, it would appear so - and they've gone into laager again in a communications sense - not responding.
Here are the management team operating this outfit for the owners - I've lost patience trying to get them to look after their players, and I feel no obligation to respect their privacy any further:
Geoff Sheehan
Four Monkeys Pty Ltd
geoff@fourmonkeys.com.au
"For HippoJo our company will be doing the operations, marketing, affiliate and advertiser management, as well as the call centre and payments processing."
Kelly Signell - Director, Trustbond Services Limited, Cyprus. This company holds the ownership of the casino although the investors are Aussies.

Both Australians.

Uggg, what bad news about this casino. However, I am glad I found these postings and now hopefully something will be done about paying winning players.
I played blackjack here on October 7 and won 460 GBP. I have sent my docs to them and was about to send faxback-form when I saw their website had disappeared and emails to them were undeliverable.
This now gives some hope.

He claims that for the past four-five weeks he's been attending his terminally ill father, who passed away late last week and was buried just prior to the weekend.
Although tragic, that doesn't excuse the whole bloody operation going off the rails, and this issue has been building for some time beyond the last month or so.
Still - I'm now waiting to see whether he delivers on that promise that no player or affiliate will go unpaid. And the clock's ticking....

It looks (at last) as if things may be happening. The main guy at 4 Monkeys managing this operation has been in contact this date.
The gist of his message is that they are making "positive progress" and that they hope to have more news for players this Wednesday or Thursday.
I'm assuming this will be positive news, because he ends with the assurance:
"We will not, I repeat not, leave any player nor affiliate in the lurch."
I'm prepared to continue working on this over the next week to see what develops from the above - its taken so long thus far that I think it is worth seeing what these guys deliver.
Edited to reiterate that players with problems at HJ should submit a PAB to Bryan so we know what we're dealing with here in case this has to be taken further.

Website down is one thing (kudos for not attracting new clients if they are struggling) One would hope that all affiliates have temporarily pulled links as well.
Continuing to accept wagers... (don't know if they do, I can't play there) that's a tough one - may be necessary to 'heal' assuming they have a plan, and why not assume the best? I didn't look too deep into four monkeys, but I doubt that is the 'Industry eterans' spoken of earlier.
It is complicated, I'm sure, but it is also simple maths. With confidence in the operators, the product should be able to recover. And this really does seem a case where RTG can save face if they choose. If this casino fails, I'm guessing there will be hell to pay.
These are the days of wine and roses and crisis can equal opportunity.
Best of luck to all who have money due, and especially best of luck to hippojo so you can be paid. And best wishes that RTG will finally pay attention to their responsibilites as a software and lice... | | Read Entire Entry |

We'll see
Not sure 'normalized' is the erb I'd use.....
The average RTG at least stays up to take deposits, even if it doesn't pay out again.
Not even having a website, and for several weeks, that takes the biscuit.
When I worked with any company with a website, if it was down for about 10 minutes people immediately got the impression that the company was going out of business as a result. And that was for 10 minutes.

How long as their site been down? I'd site one week plus, easily. Now what kind of IT staff do they have working of them? Hippos and monkeys?
No matter what the issue with their server was, even if it had blown up, it would take only a few hours to setup a new server with tape backups.
Even if an international sea cable was cut by an anchor, it would take 2 days max to resolve... Server problems, lame excuse...

This is an instance where, because the principles are principled, a chunk of change with total managerial control, could go a long way... and it may happen if RTG grows a gonad and starts backing up their product.
Most of us can do math... how bad could it be? House edge minus overhead = eventual profit.
F*cking bonuses.

I'm reaching the end of my patience with these folks, and will shortly disclose full details on the individuals involved, but for the information of those players who remain unpaid:
After numerous attempts I finally received a response from one of the management team at Trustbond (something of a misnomer as things have turned out).
In what I am interpreting as a stalling tactic she told me that Hippo Jo has experienced server problems which are being addressed. In my opinion this is BS, and does not in any case explain players' emails being ignored, slow-pays and part-pays...and continuing to accept deposits when players are not being paid.
She also advised that the main manager behind this, whose identity I will also disclose shortly, has been incommunicado for the past four weeks with a terminally ill father who has since passed away. This has been confirmed through another source but still does not explain the lack of integrity is-a-vis players who have been trying to... | | Read Entire Entry |

They were probably underfunded considering it was a brand new casino and they were emailing out some rather large bonuses just before they stopped paying. Whoever was funding the casino might have pulled the plug once they realised how much it was costing them!
Four Monkeys has apparantly only been a registered company since Mid-2006.

I really don't know who was financing the operation. I do however know of Four Monkeys, which I assume were handling customer service and other operation departments of the casino.
They indeed are a reputable outfit and have handled several government tenders as I said earlier. They were also at the forefront of Australia's first regulated online casino, which was launched by the Queensland state government.
Their website is - http://www.fourmonkeys.com.au/4m/index.html
Maybe the day to day operations management was outsourced to Four Monkeys, but as for the key people behind the operation... I'm just not sure. Maybe Bryan can elaborate.
In regards to why it all went downhill, I mean any online casino outfit which is just starting should expect to be in the red for at least the first 4-6 months. Unless everyone was playing $100 per spin and hitting the highest payline, I cannot believe they did not forecast correctly and didn't not have enough funds stashed aw... | | Read Entire Entry |
