I would suggest withdrawing at your convenience and playing elsewhere, as I doubt you will be treated to the same level of bonuses, comps etc as you have made them back down.
Such currency terms need to be in a place that cannot be missed, this is even worse than the stance taken recently by Grand Prive, where they were closing accounts in the "wrong" currency and converting them to the "right" currency.

What have these cases to do with the big fraud in...

Quite right. Deposits are deposits and even if made in a wrong currency, there cannot be any confiscation of them. By naming this as an exception, does the casino mean that if there are similar cases in future, they will take a tougher stand and really keep the deposits. If this is what they intend to do, they should be rogued.

I don't feel obliged to say thank you to the casino or its representative since what they call "an exception" is only giving back my deposits which they didn't have any right to take from me in this case.
And thanks to Casinomeister and his website who really helped me. I think also that this group of casinos should be advised that unless they don't want to be associated with the roguest online casinos in the world they should stop confiscating player's deposits this way. It is in their interest.

I am totally fine with casinos excluding people from bonuses based on the currency of the account, but if a player does not take a bonus, why does the casino care? Confiscating players' deposits just because they signed up in the "wrong" currency is totally unacceptable. How can ecogra condone this?

If the website says "- Please note that only users from United Kingdom and Northern Ireland will be able to open a British Pound account. - Please note that only residents of the European Union will be able to open an account in Euros", then people should not be offered currencies they are not allowed to play in. If the casino allows a player from Turkey or Australia to register a euro account, then the casino itself is in breach of its own T&C or can be deemed to have waived this clause. (Just to pick a further nit, Northern ...

Let's watch the personal jabs. You don't know what this person might be dealing with.

I am writing to you on behalf of the Vegas VIP Lounge representative, unfortunately they have been called away due to a personal emergency, however I have been asked to inform you that the casino is close to resolving your complaint and you will be hearing from them soon.

Call me a cynic but;

Would that personal emergency be that they havent had a holiday in the last Week?

It's truly shocking to see the level a once respected group of casinos is willing to stoop to.

Asking European players to play in dollars rather than euros is ok, if a little odd, but the practice of retaining deposits is unbelievable - I can't imagine even many rogue casinos thinking they might get away with it.

To find the following terms you have to click through from a page with 9 options, so all but the most keen-eyed bonus hunters are likely to miss them (and even bonus hunters would often only check the promotion terms).

Perhaps there should be a clause in the terms and conditions which state that if you deposit in the wrong currency and you win, you will be refunded your full deposits but the balance ie winnings will be paid in the correct currency ie $ in this case. The players will then think twice about depositing in a higher currency because of the risks involved eg being paid $ thru winning with euros.

Huh? A dollar is worth about 78 Euro cents right now. It sucks!

I'm still waiting for the casino to get back to me on this. Apparently, the player never received his deposit back. I still don't have the full story - so I'm still waiting on this.

To be honest, it is irrelevant.

The terms and conditions are strictly unfair. Just because they have the term in their contract with you doesnt make it right.

Its like a murderer writing a letter saying Im going to kill you tonight, it wouldnt make it right or legal to do so.

This group is fast sliding down the slippery slope of con men (IMHO)
