The breakeven point for 28% rakeback plus bonus at UB vs. 50% rakeback is:
10-handed: $2.11 average rake/raked hand
6-handed: $1.27 ar/rh
Headsup: $0.42 ar/rh
As long as you're paying that number or less for whichever game you're playing, you're better off at UB. At .5/1 full that seems pretty certain.
Edit: that headsup number isn't really right, but I'd have to add a third variable to get it precise, I don't really care enough, and I doubt anyone else does either.
Also, you can raise the numbers a bit with the 25% bonus in clearing rate from being one of the first two players at the table. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Timprov at February 27, 2006, 2:42 am | | Topic: Question about Ultimate Bet's reloads Forum: Bonus Whores | With n representing the number of players at your table, UB bonuses are the equivalent of 10n percent rakeback on the first $0.50 of rake. (So 10-handed 100%, 6-handed 60%, HU 20%.) Rake above $0.50, you get diddly-squat.
It should be pretty easy to figure out what you're getting from there. | | Static Link |

Anyway, back to topic, i think what the guy said up there that i should play at the site which has the most fish sounds like a good plan, though it'd still be nice to know what the UB bonuses mean in terms of rakeback %. | | Static Link |

You'll get more of your rake back by finding good bonuses.
I can make $1000 on rakeback alone which is why i always get rakeback on all sites i play at. Long-term it should be far more profitable than bonuses. It doesn't hurt to get it anyway... why say no to free money?
i'm not saying to not get rake back, i'm just saying that it shouldn't be your first priority. imho, it is far more profitable as a low limit whore to search out the better bonuses and play those even without rake back (but if you can get rake back at those sites, all the better). at $100 NL you can find bonuses that will give you close to 100% (sometimes more) of your rake back (like the Betsson bonus, Party bonuses, 5x 7x prima's, b2b bonuses, etc).

| Posted by: gnarus at February 26, 2006, 7:17 am | | Topic: Question about Ultimate Bet's reloads Forum: Bonus Whores | u still get rakeback on UB when clearing a bonus. I understand rakeback is reduced 50% or so do to the bonus. In terms of percentage, at a 10 person full table a UB bonus alone would be 16% at mid stakes(full a max raked pot), but as much as 300% at a .05/.10 limit table.
Code poker may be the way to go with Prima. The typical deal I see there is either 50% rakeback, or 10% rakeback & 50% of ur monthly profits, automatically calculated which is more.
I'm currently doing both. If possible, I'd reccommend starting the month off in Code Poker until you play enough hands and qualify for a nice profit bonus then switch to UB.

So the question is, would 28%+ unlimited bonuses, on 0.5-1 NL be better than 50% flat on Prima? Yes, probably? | | Static Link |
