I hope you are talking NL because in Limit there are very very few players that can sustain greater then 2BB/100 at 2/4 and up.
I now have 40 players with 20,000 or more hands and only 6 are 2BB/100 and the average is 0.55/100.
Of course I'm one of them but . . . . .
There would be 7 but you don't have enough of my hands tracked. Stop running away everytime I hop on your tables.
How did you get so many hands on players. Are you datamining. And do you have a percentage of actual winners and losers. I would guess that overall there has to be more losers. Even break even players would show a loss overtime due to the rake. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: frozone at August 2, 2005, 12:11 am | | Topic: BB rates Forum: Bonus Whores | | 2bb/100 is the typical rule of thumb for a winning player.. I think it depends mostly on the site and quality of your competition. Party 2 to 5 BB/100 sustained is fairly reasonable.. and at even fishier sites, 5 to 8 BB/100 sustained is realistic. I don't have any funky stat software or anything, just a log of monthly net $ and a guesstimate to how many table hours I log a month. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: Grinder at July 24, 2005, 7:39 pm | | Topic: BB rates Forum: Bonus Whores | A good player at NL will win more then a good player at Limit. However, there are less good players in NL as it takes more bluffing/gambling then a limit player. Limit is more of a numbers game, not trying to push people out of pots.
It's like baseball and slow pitch softball. I LOVE having NL players playing limit, they are totally out of their element, just like I know NL players would LOVE to have ME play in a $25 buy-in game . . . . ..wait, I HAVE done that, and they took all my money LOL. | | Static Link |

But, if you hate the game then I guess your win rate would suffer...

| Posted by: Grinder at July 21, 2005, 4:24 am | | Topic: BB rates Forum: Bonus Whores | I was using Poker Edge and getting an idea of what players with MANY hands have.
I had about 30 players with over 20,000 hands played and their average was .55BB/100.
GOOD players are 2BB/100 very very few were (actually only 1) over 2.5BB/100 Which means if you are playing 60 hands per hour it's 1.4ishBB/hour.
SO - if you are going at 2BB/hour you are doing GREAT,
In one study at 2+2 they were taking hands from all GOOD players 1.4BB/100 or above.
THUS. 2BB/Hour would be outstanding in the long run.
Just to give you a basic idea of what you can do.
I had 8000 hands in .5/1 and was winning at 7.8BB/100 when I moved up in 1/2 I'm 1.91BB/100 with 40,000 hands and 2.19BB/100 in 2/4 with 30,000 hands and 1.93BB/100 in 3/6 with 6000 hands.

I'm trying to get a sense at what a good BB win rate is at 1/2 and 2/4. Is 2.0 per hour realistic on sites like PP and IP?
Thanks!
