I definately don't recommend doing this. I used to mix games previously, and it tend to screw you up because it's harder to watch different games and plan accordingly. I can multi-table up to two different type of games now but that's it. I find that it's easier to play two limit games even if it's a different type of game (HE and 7stud) than limit table and a NL table.
Depending on your comfort, it doesn't really matter if you play NL one day and L the other day. Still, it does depend on your level of experience. I started off as a NL player but switched over to limit about 6 months in and I was having trouble switching back and forth. After playing almost exclusively in limit for about an year, I have no problems going back and forth no... | | Read Entire Entry |

I have a personal belief that you benefit by playing different games. I play L, PL, NL, SnG's and MTT's. I also play all the same in Omaha (not NL obviously); both Omaha Hi and Omaha Hi/Lo. I doing some reading now on 7 stud and plan to begin playing it soon.
I believe you learn some additional skills for poker and gambling by playing the different games. It also helps to keep you from becoming bored if you play a lot. And I am finding that Omaha is a more profitable game than hold'em, in fact, I'm really starting to like Omaha Hi/Lo which I thought I would never like.

I mix up my games daily. Depending on the bonus, or my mood, I'll play either NL, limit SH, 7 stud, or even some Omaha.

My 2 cents...take it as you will.
that's what I was thinking too. mabey switching month to month say july limit aug nl ? the first couple of days of the month would be an adjustment but after that I would think it wouldn't be too hard.

I am doing okay playing 1/2 limit but miss the adrenaline of no limit. Would it be crazy to alternate or should I just stick to 1. like could I play limit while clearing bonuses (which I find is much better for strictly bonus clearing) and play nl when I want to play one table? Im just kinda getting board with limit. any thoughts. of course I did play 7000 hands 2 tables at the most in July. over 100hrs mabey im kinda getting burned out anyway, and just need a break. any thoughts
