..... The only commonalty i have found in blogs/forums/ BR stats is 4-8 weeks.
If it is always 4-8 weeks, then that would have to be more a mental thing than a luck/downswing thing.
i.e. 40 hr/week 8-table players see a few hands more than 10 hr/week 2-table players.
Or maybe I'm about to hit a 16-32 week slump

I have had one of these slumps, beaten by quads every time i had a Fh etc etc etc .. but it lasted for over six weeks .. i dunno, it's kinda what led me to this site and other poker sites/blogs.
From my research, it seems everyone hits a 4-8 week slump, sometime, how will i know if it's just like the other thread:-just a bad day? ... the truth is, you wont. at least not untill you get out the other side of it, which of course, is too late.
Moving sites, changing games, changing style etc just wont help, i got fucked, raped, butt-fucked and then fuked again constantly i mean the odds of quads are like 2200 etc to 1 .. you just cant get beaten by them 3 or 4 times a day, 5 times a week at omaha/7card and texas.... but i can tell you that, you can, but only when YOU have the nuts till the river, this is a requirement.

While bad runs happen to everyone, I find I make my bad runs worse by bad play. As things go down the toliet, my play gets even worse - making the down swing worse. Blah. Go look over you play the last few days and see what leaks you have developed. Fix those and things will get better.

...but the other recommendations are sound. I especially find that playing another game (or at least swap to low limit PL if you usually play limit, or similar) helps take your mind off things. Also, swap sites. Not sure from your post if you are a heavy duty whore with tons of accounts and you are loosing at all of them, of if you're a rakeback kind of player who mainly sticks to the same site.
Changing things around some (sites, limits and games) let you "start fresh". GL. | | Static Link |

Poke around the casino forum. Make some easy dough, and come back.
Just having banked a profit usually lifts you up. You dont sound like its your primary income, definitely dont let it impact your mood.

I understand that no poker player will ever win every time he sits down and that thats the life of a gambler and I accept that.
However, recently, id say in the last 2 months, I have been easily going through the most difficult stretch of my life. I cant seem to win a hand, I feel like nothing slides my way. I've lost enough that im at the same level i was in June.. meaning i lost all of july august and september and part of octobers profit.
I know slumps happen but theyre not supposed to be going on this long. Sets lose to larger sets, a flush gets beat by a FH, I'll flop A99 with AA, and lose to someone holding 9-10 when the turn and river are 9s. Thats how rough it sbeen (mostly at pokerroom). I feel like no matter how tight or experienced my game is nothing is helping.
