I just started reading it last night, and it does have some specific strategies for limit, pretty interesting so far. I will see if I can pick up McEvoy's book as well. I don't mind paying for it if it has some useful tips. Thanks guys!

Just finished rereading it, as I've lately been interested in limit hold'em tourneys as well.
Tournament Poker for Advanced Players does have a lot of info relevant to limit tourneys. Also a good sized section about no-limit.

Yeah, I've changed my mind - McEvoy is a good read just for analysis of his strategy, it's a worthwhile exercise even though you won't come away with any great advice. ed is right, though. Borrow it, don't buy it (or get a cheap used copy if possible?). Sometimes reading books with suboptimal strategy is a great idea as long as you can make the distinctions between the good and the bad.

Sorry I can't recommend a book to read, but I can tell you not to bother with McEvoy's Tournament Poker book. It really offers nothing other than common sense and basic tournament strategy.

I've read some books on NL tourny strategy, and lots on limit cash games, but I haven't come across anything on limit tourny. Does anyone know of a good book you can recommend, or online resource? There is a live limit tourny I want to try, up to 700 entries. I plan to qualify thru their one table satellite, with top 2 getting a buy in to the tourny, so good SNG strategy for LHE would be great too.

Thanks,
Pokerdogg
