Its not really that good of an idea to do. Lets say you flop top set vs middle set thats a once a day hand. Do you want to get your whole stack in or only 5 bucks. At a NL or limit table you should buy in for the full amount. However, from time to time Ill take 100 to a 2-4 pl omaha table with that strategy. There is not a lot of raising pre flop and if you hit anything you double up on the first hand.

Dr Strange- LOLOLOLOLOL. I love it. I get carried away with PP a LOT.
Interesting idea to play fast and loose with $5. I've seen people that do that, and they drive me nuts. When I come in with KK and they reraise all in with Axo....AARGH. But an interesting idea. I'll have to give it a run tonight and see what I can do.

I play normal NL poker, but I have a sign taped to my monitor reading:

DON'T GO BROKE ON ONE PAIR

I especially like to play PP for sets and suited gappers for monsters. They don't hit very often, but when they do I stand a chance to stack someone. Bluffing at Party isn't very wise, but I do grab small pots with small (50% pot) bets from time to time.

Oh, and blocking bets work well - making the suited gappers even better to play.

$4 preflop bet at NL25 is a HUGE bet - that's betting 16x BB.
If you want someone to call, that doesn't have AA, lower the raise a bit.

I consider the bonus to be gravy atop the loose, idiotic players at Party. I find that if I don't think about the bonus constantly I play better. If the players are different at each skin, you'll have to adapt your play. If you get a lot of suckouts at Party, bet pots harder. Think a lot of people are bluffing huge pots at you? Maybe wait a bit for a stronger hand to call.

Back in the day when these bonuses came along, I would sit idly at a PL25 table and watch the hands go by. I didn't care if I won or lost hands, because at the end of the bonus, I would still take away cash.

Fast forward a few months. I've gotten more confident in my play and playstyle. I now play at the NL100 tables, stemming from my experiences at B2B and Pokerroom. But at the Party skins, all of the conventions that I'm used to go right out the window; people are a lot crazier and do wilder things at these tables, and it's nearly impossible to call people on their hands. While the raked hands go faster, I'm finding myself getting killed on my bonus and losing money to boot.

Meanwhile, dropping down to NL25, especially during a bonus, if you bet $4 preflop on AK or KK, the ONLY people that usually will call will be someone with AA. And guess what? You've just won .35 or you just lost your entire stack. RRGH!

It's frustrating either way you go with it. I'm just curi...
