Most other runner-runner draws are in the 6% to 1% range. Having that happen five times in one session is really unlucky - but the exact odds aren't so easy to calculate since we don't know how many times you were exposed to that risk and won, nor do we know if the runner-runner losses were of the 1% type or 6% type.
Best I can say is it was REALLY unlucky. Time to take a break.

Add it if you may winning being dealt 4 times in a row KJ (diff suit comb) in the same table. It was a fucking weird night that costed me around $120 and i truly FELT cheated at towegaming, i know i wasn't but thats how i felt... i cashed out three days later when i was almost 200 down. That session was at 1/2.

I hold 88 in BB and check as there were no raises into me. Flop is 889. I check and it checks around to the button who bets $3. I just call and the other two at the table fold.
Turn is nothing important. I lead out and get raised. I reraise and he reraises back. I raise again and he just calls.
Turn is a 9.
I bet he raises and this continues until I am all-in. He flips over 99 and my flopped quads lose to higher quads.
I was happy in a way as I was thinking I must have just picked up a nice payday off the BBJP...there wasn't one at this casino.
I left the casinio.
Ouch, rough one. The worst beats always seem to involve quads and I'm to say that I was actually the villain of the worst beat I've seen.

That is a truly funny/tragic story The last sentence especially struck me - not the typo, which I just noticed, but the simple finality of it.

| Posted by: MrGato at November 30, 2006, 1:20 pm | | Topic: Now that is just ridiculous --> Full-blown Monkey Tilt Forum: Bonus Whores | | Here's one that bothered me enough that I quit the site. 7-Card Stud, 1/2, 1st hand of my session. I'm in late possition with 3h,7h, and Jh showing. The bring-in and a 9d have limped so I raise to try to take it right there. The 9d calls. 4th street Kh (me), 2c (villian). I bet, he calls. 5th st. Ah (me), 2s (villian). Bet, call. 6th st. 5s (me), Kd (villain). Again bet call. 7th street I bet he raises and it goes to cap. He turns over 7d,Qd,9d,2c,2s,Kd,Ad. I've probable seen worse than this but because it was my 1st hand of a session it really put me out. | | Static Link |

As for odds - First off you need to catch a PP 55-AA (~5%)
Then the flop has to come giving you top set plus plus three to a straight (~2%)
Then one of the nine players has to hold the other two straight cards (~11%)
Then villian has to decide to play these crap cards (~100%)
Say ~9,000 for one hand or 81 million to one for back to back hands.

Last night on Stars playing 1/2 limit in back to back hands I flop top set and lose to a flopped str8. This has to be millions to 1 for this to occur.
Hand 1 - I have 8's. Flop is 458. Villain has 67.
Hand 2 - I have 9's. Flop is 689. Villain has 7 10 in BB.
I almost threw the laptop out the window.....

Turn: 3

Ok that sucked. To make it worse, the player left the table as soon as the hand was over. The worst hit and run I've ever been involved in. But I did realize how much different a player I am now.
