How many hands did you have as a winning shorthanded limit player?
I dont know how many hands, i was playing for about 10/15 hours a week so maybe around 150k??? I started at $0,05c/$0,10 limit and moved up slowly to 1/2, built up my bankroll from $50 up to more than $10k (including bonuses, rakeback, tourneys etc.) and was still winning until half of march. By that time i started playing more than 6 tables so...

I've been doing pretty bad myself, except for winning a forum tourny which made feel good and even went up a bit on my loosings, but they're back, i found myself playing badly, tired, not in the mood, whatever. Im just going to sit back a week while i read my new books, im halfway through "Poker Tornament Formula"
And i can't blame my bad luck on busting on 4 tournaments todays against lucky river, over pair, over pair, stupid all in call (from me).
Just chill for a couple days at least, go out with the gf or grab few beers with the chaps.

Well the way i play, 6 tables shothanded, i dont think i could be a 2BB winner. Break even is enough for me since i receive around $3000 a month from bonuses + rakeback. But cmon, losing 40 days in a row is hard, and even the biggest moron will have some hot runs those days but ive had only one and lost it all back the next session.
I played 3 tables today and feel much more comfortable and im even up $25

Oh I know that NL bad runs are devastating but I think its WAY less often that you get runner runner bad beated and other very annoying things that happen in Limit.
I would actually second that. The variance in NL is less than Limit, especially shorthand limit. In limit it can be hard to get away from good hands that are beat cause you don't have enougth information. Also you need your big hands to win money.
I mean sometimes you lose a few buyins in NL, but in NL you more work in terms of buyins, so normally you will make a few buyins (if your good). Like your not trying to grind out a few BB's an hour in NL, your looking for that chance to take a significant amount from another player. | | Static Link |

I think this is over 70k hands that i played the last 2 months. Ive only 15k of my hands in my pokeroffice since my computer is really slow when i use that.
Im not some fish, I read alot of books and use these strategies. Im a tight aggressive player and raise almost every hand im playing, when im first in I raise every hand im gonna play(its shorthanded). I certainly sympathize, as I went through the same thing while clearing a bonus at Dream. I also feel better about my own bad luck, as I only lost 100 BB at the 1/2 FR FL tables, and that was my biggest downswing in my 14 months of playing.
