Well nobody even thought the villian might be bluffing.

I put him on Ax.

He actually had KJo

I am guessing he was doing a stop and go and then picked up the gut shot draw and tried to get a free card and then thought fuck it the pot is big i will call. River was a brick and i won, so no bad beat.

It was the strangest thing. He rebought immediatly and won about 50 before leaving.

I still don't get what he was doing and he didn't appear to be on tilt, and even if he was tilt players push in with weak hands, not call off.

Willing to be educated... what happened to "win money, not pots"?

Maybe I'm splitting hairs (and NOT trying to be a d*ck), but winning this hand more times than one loses doesn't help much if the net of the winnings is less than the net of the losings.

Shouldn't this be, "I'm going to win more with my winners than I lose with my losers"?

nope

Doesn't matter what Villian has, I am playing this hand.

I am going to win this hand more times than I lose.

J9 or 1010 just because of the nature of the post...

I'd go bust

yeah you go bust, you go bust here.

villian seems to really like his hand and give the nature of the post (and if this is on AP) i vote AA

Honestly in this situation I never worry about what villain has. I'm not laying down my set of 8s regardless, so it doesn't much matter.

How about Villain's preflop style. Does he ever raise preflop? Any idea how much?
How about Villain's postflop style. Is he typically aggressive? Is he a calling station? Does he chase with bad odds?

Assuming a plain vanilla, low aggression villain - - I vote for A7 or AT making two pair.

PS "Elephant" has a number of possible meanings, I am not sure what you were trying to say there.

It is online 6max. I hadn't really been there that long, but he appears to either call or overbet. He also rebought to half a buy in after i felted him in the hand i mentioned(he limped in that too with AJs).

Elephant to me means once he likes his hand, he isn't folding no matter what, like an elephant plodding along not caring about what is happening around himself.

I am playing nl200. I am on the button with like 300.

Player in early postion($100) calls, i see 88 and call, BB($200) raises to 8 we all call.

Flop is A 8 7 rainbow

BB bets 20, Early position calls.
I raise to 60, BB folds, Early position calls.

Turn 10

Early position checks, I push all in he calls.

My read on early position is his an elephant, he never believes.
Early on an all diamond flop, he had TPTK and he overbet the pot, i pushed with the flush and he called with no diamond in his hand.

What hand do you think he has?
