Sweet hand - -

As for your rhetorical question, it depends on the villains. If they are skilled, this time to head for the exit. But if the villains are donkeys (or even mostly donkey + sharks trying to isolate) I think you can play a premium, live buried pair and see if you catch magic. (Its not a premium pair if someone has a higher door card.) With bad enough donkeys, even a premium split pair is fine.

We have all seen a table full of donkeys who decide to raise just to show 'who's dick is longer'.

You know, when people 4 bet 4th street with a paired, live door card, it's time to toss the single, dead overcard. Do they allow US players at this site, because I can't find a good stud game to save my life. Except for the other night when a guy sat down at the .50/1 game with 20k and raised every street for about 20 minutes.

Back when I asked about no double betting a pair on 4th at Ongame rooms, I also asked (maybe rhetorically),

"If you're playing at a table where 2 people do all the raising, but all 8 cap on 3rd street, is it even worth playing anything less than rolled up trips or 3 of AKQJT suited (depending on what's live)?"

Here's a hand I just played at Pacific's .25/.50 7 Stud table. Not quite what I asked, but worth a brag. Comments are, of course, welcome.

Seat-1: $5.50 ante $0.05
Seat-2: $14.55 ante $0.05
Hero: $14.45 ante $0.05 (sat in with $15, session hand #25, saw 4th 8 times, won 1 pot for $3.80)
Seat-4: $8.45 ante $0.05
Seat-5: $14.41 ante $0.05
Seat-6: $18.60 ante $0.05
Seat-7: $5.85 ante $0.05
Seat-8: $11.10 ante $0.05

Pot: $0.40

Seat-7 xx 2 bring in $0.10
Seat-8 xx A call
Seat-1 xx 9 call
Seat-2 xx A call
Hero (J 8) 8 call
Seat-4 xx 7 call
Seat-5 xx 4 fold
Seat-6 x...
