At $10 PLO, no I don't think anyone would dump top set. I am not really surprised that UTG had only bottom set in this hand. Nice pot Doc, exactly how I would have played it.

Hero decides it is better to be safe than sorry and reraised the pot. UTG showed down bottom set. <8832ss - not the diamond draw>

This is PLO, giving the free card and the board pairs, the Doc goes from getting value to having a hand he will find very hard to fold.
If the other player doesn't have a straight his likly holdings will give him the pot if the board pairs. It isn't like holdem where your flush is still good most of the time when the board pairs, in omaha it rarely is.
While the hand is very nice and has a great draw to go with it, it is a hand you want to get your money in good with. A monster in omaha is a hand you can give a free card with and not be scared of what is coming on the turn. | | Static Link |

I don't think SB is going to come along, as he make a donkey blocking min bet into a field of players... he is too timid to put real money into this pot (my perception anyway). UTG, absent of any reads I would say has a set or the same straight (to the queen) as you. If he has the set or the low end straight, you are ahead. If he has the same straight as you, you are freerolling to the nut flush draw anyways.
I would raise and be happy to take down a decent pot. Even if you split with another queen high straight by the end, you are still making a dozen or so BB's on it...
And you have a re-draw to the flush, and the broadway straight. | | Static Link |

I would assume the other player the straight or a set.
If you raise pot, straight calls but your in okay shape. Set has a much harder choice and to be honest a fold from a set is a fairly good result for you.
It is important to bet your big draws in plo has hard as your made hands or it becomes obvious when your drawing and when your made. I know this isn't so important at PL10 but as you move up it will be. | | Static Link |

Obviously Hero isn't folding, the question is basically hand protection vs sucking the villains in for another bet. (We can be sure the villain who is almost all-in will be one way or the other.)
