Whether you pay 3 USD/GBP in rake doesn't really matter.

It does matter. At the $2/$4 game I believe the most rake you can pay is $3 (about £1.50). At the £1/£2 game the most rake you can pay is £3 (about $6.00). The stakes are about the same, but the maximum rake at the £1/£2 game is twice the rake at the $2/$4 game.

I play the pound games, but I never noticed that I was paying more in rake. I will have to rethink my strategy. Are the pound games so much better than the dollar games?

the pound tables are much softer, just higher variance (if that doesnt bother you).

Kinda sucks but hey you're getting 50% see flop rates instead of 35-40%!

Whether you pay 3 USD/GBP in rake doesn't really matter. Poker is about BB and not about some currency values.

And then I wonder at which 1/2 USD tables at Crypto tables you're getting 35-40% flop on average. Certainly not the ones I am playing as they're tight as hell most of the times (but easily beatable) and have an avg. in the low thirties (30-33% max.).

I don't play pounds personally so take this for what it is worth. But most folks I have talked too have said that the pound tables are much easier if you can afford the fact that it is, as you have said, essentially a $2/4 table. And I certainly think the number of BW types has increased significantly at the $1/2 tables the past few months.
