Within the last year though, they started charging a "cash equivalency fee". I think it's about 8% or something. | | Static Link |

what's to stop you from racking up the airline miles like mad?
My credit card company denied the deposit to PokerStars. Called me and asked if I knew someone was trying to use my credit card for evil online gambling. When I said yeah that was me... they cancelled my card and requested that I cut up all remaining cards.
I have not tried another as I am sure my credit report now reads degenerate online gambler, cancel his insurance, double his mortgage and triple his credit card interest.
I deposited $200 from a clean checking account into Neteller two years ago and have never needed anymore seed money. The forest looks mighty awesome now baby! | | Static Link |

Hmm, interesting. Don't think I have any such offers tied to my VISA though, but could definately be worth checking into... I deposited money from my bank account, using my VISA card, into Party - then had no problems at all withdrawing from there to NETeller.
...and will probably do the opposite via MultiBet or something to cash some real money out sometime. Don't know about that yet. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: PurpleReign at February 28, 2005, 1:15 pm | | Topic: Sites that work with credit cards Forum: Bonus Whores | Couple more questions for those of you that have funded your Neteller account by depositing via a credit card.
1.) If I try to deposit into a Neteller account using my credit card, will I run into the potential "this bank doesn't accept egaming transactions" problems that I seem to run into if I try to fund my poker account directly with my credit card or is this transaction NOT considered an egaming type of transaction so that most cards should work (I'm assuming most cards should work since Neteller is a general purpose EFT type of account not specific to just egaming)?
2.) Assuming I can deposit into my Neteller account using my credit card, how is it normally treated by the credit card company (i.e. is it a "purchase" where I'd get my credit card rewards points and could use my grace period to avoid any interest charges or is a "cash advance" where I'd start getting socked with interest right away and not accumulate any rewards)?

Instead I use my USD NETeller account ... smooth. | | Static Link |

Does the FAQ thing suggest using netteller just because many sites won't work with a credit card or is there some security or other reason associated with using it? | | Static Link |
| Posted by: PurpleReign at February 27, 2005, 1:20 am | | Topic: Sites that work with credit cards Forum: Bonus Whores | Never mind my previous post above. After looking more closely at Party's bonus rules, apparently you still get the bonus as long as your deposit is INITIATED before the bonus signup deadline, with the bonus actually being added to your account starting the day the deposit is actually CREDITED to your account. When I had called Party's support number yesterday, their "uninformed" help told me the bonus would be given based on the date the deposit is CREDITED to my account, not when the deposit is INITIATED, and if the deposit needed several days to be approved/credited and the bonus signup deadline happened to pass before the deposit actually got credited, I was simply SOL and I should pursue other more expedious avenues to make my deposits.
This seems to solve my dilema regarding the several day lag between initiating an iGM-Pay deposit and the time it actually gets credited to my account. I took a screen snapshot of their bonus agreement that clearly states what their policy just to CMA since s... | | Read Entire Entry |
| Posted by: FeelingLucky at February 26, 2005, 1:07 pm | | Topic: Sites that work with credit cards Forum: Bonus Whores | My credit card experience so far:
1) Deposited by VISA to Party Poker - then cashed out to NETeller. It's the only way I have "funded" my NETeller account.
2) Deposited by VISA to Poker Plex (before I had the NETeller up and running) - cashing out meant that they put money back in the credit card, I could not cash money out to my NETeller without first getting the initial deposit back to my VISA.
After those two initial deposits to get me started, everything has been NETeller. | | Static Link |

Anyhow, I haven't signed up yet on Paradise, but from what I've seen I have a good shot at being able to fund that account using one of my credit cards. Is it possible to deposit at Paradise, play a few hands to avoid the infamous "is this card stolen" phone query when you deposit and then cashout right away without playing any hands, then cashout to Neteller, and then deposit into Party Poker using my Neteller account? I'm trying to get in on the BONUSFEB bonus, but my iGM-Pay deposits always take several days and I only have 4 more days to get my deposit finalized (haven't set up my Neteller account yet either; fairly new to all this whoring stuff). I'd also like to use my credit card somewhere for the card's rewards points; I was previously able to make several deposits with it back in Dec. and Jan., but the card company must have figured it out and now it seems to reject egaming transactions when ... | | Read Entire Entry |

edit: just got my statement, the fast poker charge is a cash advance ($10)
bastards...

Tried Fast Poker on the Boss Network and it worked.. also got Golden Tiger to work, leading me to believe that all Primas would work. However, I'm thinking they'll cashout the withdrawals back to your credit cards.. so this defeats the whoring for rewards points thing.
