| Posted by: Valhalla1 at March 6, 2005, 3:14 am | | Topic: Party skin regedit is not working Forum: Bonus Whores | I had a party account from long ago, I had uninstalled party and installed empire months ago as well and there was no problem, no regedit or anything... uninstalled that as well
then last month I signed up at intertops to clear signup+reload bonuses. read about the regedit calculator thing, deleted that one thing and was able to sign up and play just fine. after clearing the bonuses I looked thru regedit some more and found lots of references to partypoker and empirepoker, and I even had folders in /program files/ for both clients still sitting there, stuff that didnt get deleted like hand histories
in short, intertops didnt seem to give a rats ass that there was obvious leftovre cruft from party and empire sitting on my xp poker machine | | Static Link |
| Posted by: FeelingLucky at March 5, 2005, 2:21 am | | Topic: Party skin regedit is not working Forum: Bonus Whores | Can't remember exactly what Windows version is used on my laptop at work (can check next week, but it is either XP or 2003 I guess); but I managed to sign up for several skins on it by cleaning up a bit more than the calculator reg.
Posted about it in another thread, could search for "regedit" posts by me or something, I guess. In summary I uninstalled, deleted files/folders that were left, and cleaned the registry of some poker software entries. Haven't tested anymore, but am not signed up at all the skins yet - so I will, sooner or later. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: mooncricket at March 5, 2005, 12:49 am | | Topic: Party skin regedit is not working Forum: Bonus Whores | I did a few tests the other day trying to sign up with multiple party skins on the same computer. I tried uninstalling other skins from my desktop and laptop to sign up with poker now. Did the registry edit and removed anything related to party poker on both systems. Couldn't sign up with poker now on either one. Moved to an old system with windows 98 installed. I used this system to sign up with empire poker and I had party installed too. Did the registry edit, installed poker now and proceeded to sign up with no problems.
My conclusion: It's a problem with windows xp and being able to remove everything that is checked for when you try to sign up. | | Static Link |

| Posted by: og5 at March 4, 2005, 7:24 pm | | Topic: Party skin regedit is not working Forum: Bonus Whores | I installed Empire poker a few weeks ago and Party yesterday. Before installing Party I deleted key_local_machine:software:calculator and Party installed fine. However I checked the registry to delete the key again before installing Pokernow, and it was not there so I installed the program. Pokernow is giving me the "party skin" error. I have restarted my computer and the calculator key is still not there. Are there any other keys I can try deleting?
