They've always had a rep for tough players. At 1/2 limit I think they're as fishy as party.
Also, I got a 25% bonus to $100 even though they only tout the max sign up bonus as $50. | | Static Link |

On the flip side, though, Sportsbook.com is one of the worst online books. They don't give you nearly the break on juice that the top books do. The only thing they have going for them is their name. I was disappointed to see this merger (or buyout); but books hooked with poker rooms seem to be the big thing now. | | Static Link |
| Posted by: tarheel1 at September 4, 2005, 7:06 am | | Topic: paradise slow poker Forum: Bonus Whores | Im not so sure that they are just trying to extract the last few $s from their base. I mean a $1,000,000 freeroll? Plus they added Playes only from the Boss network to Paradise. they may be having problems moving from a standalone to a network.

I dont forsee them investing in it. Sportsbook sunk a lot of money buying them and I dont think they give a shit about losing a few players. It still has a lot of regulars who dont care about bonuses or speed. It has some branding left, and they can let it go from still large to medium, and maybe even to medium small and still be extracting profit to recoup the purchase price. Sad, but I think thats the plan.

They never bothered to upgrade their servers after bringing in multi table tournaments and micro limits.
I've been in live O/8 games that are faster paced.

While I can certainly understand your concerns, the recent server instability represents an unfortunate growing pain. This comment is certainly not intended to discount or dismiss our responsibility for the recent technical problems, however, I hope that it places the events in context.
