You probably have hide blackjack selected under the first menu on Paradise. I have played it it is not in a casino but on the Paradise poker interface.

Forum: Bonus Whores | I found this article ( http://haacked.com/archive/2005/08/29/9748.aspx ) that talks about an article in the the Summer '05 magazine 2600. It says there was a flaw in Paradise's Blackjack.
The flaw was when insurance was offered to a player, there was a delay if the dealer had blackjack. If the dealer did not have blackjack, insurance was offered with out delay.
