Just cleared the Party reload bonus and I have to say I was impressed with how easy my PC could run 6 tables there, poker stars seems ok but I don't know if poker ace HUD works with tables in the mini-view mode there or not.
Right now I am playing on Prima with rakeback... problem being I can only play 2 tables without bringing my PC to a stand still......
So rakeback but only half the tables / half win rate, then of course I have to factor in bordom factor of only playing 2 tables and then playing too many hands..... | | Static Link |

I put my name down for a table then go and get something to eat. The wait is around about an hour depending on when you go. So I'll eat and just chill out because I've usually just come from work. Then I go and watch the tables a bit to get into the groove. Also I'll get a feel for maybe two tables at the limits I'm playing, marking any real strong or weak players. Then hopefully I get placed at one of those tables. Either way, my mind is into poker and I can get into it quickly once called for my seat.
The temptation is to play a bit of craps because the craps tables are right next to the poker tables. I played quite a bit of craps a few years ago and it's a ery interesting game. I never get sucked in but it's fun to watch for a few minutes. The dealers are hilarious.

It seems to me that you have the same % chance to get sucked out on at the higher limit tables s the lower limit tables. The thing that changes is that the higher limit tables (you would think) would put themselves in the position to suck out on you a less % of the times. The lower limit tables should be where you make your money...and, by lower limit tables, I mean the tables where your comfort level is in relation to your bankroll in relationship to the skill levels at the tables. It could be the 3-6 tables up to the 20-40 tables.
If you are getting sucked out on more frequently, I would take that as a positive sign. That would mean (to me) that you are putting your money in when you have the best cards...and isn't that all that we can ask when we are playing poker?
Hope this helps,

Forum: Bonus Whores | From a NL Ho's perspaective I can tell you that Absolute Poker most of your opponents are weak-tight or calling stations. So what you wind up with is pretty tight game most of the time. The players per flop averages 35-40% at the NL .10/.25 tables I frequent, 35% is more common. As far as availability, I found there are usually 3-5 tables at that limit (I am talking 9 handed here). The .25/.50 NL tables seem to be more sparce, usually only one or two full tables. It does take some getting used to absolute poker due to the tight tables, but if you like NLHE, you gotta love there frequent reloads.

The poker points accrue proportionately at $1/2 and £1/2. Because the £1/2 tables are generally looser than the $1/2 tables, more hands at the £1/2 tables will reach the 20 unit pot and earn a full poker point.

I was at Foxwoods (a casino in Connecticut, USA for those who don't know) Saturday and I saw their new poker room. It was called "WPT World Poker Room." I went downstairs to take a look. I was in poker heaven. Beautiful tables, $80-200 sit n gos, arious stud, omaha and hold em tables, and tvs overhead showing the baseball game that was on at that time (Red sox s. Mariners). I felt like Homer on the episode of The Simpsons when he was in Chocolate Land. I couldn't play at that time because I had to stay with the group I was with who didn't want to play the poker tables. Most of the people on the leader board for the 10 Free LA Poker Classic seats have the greater advantage over anyone else.
A select few have the ability to sit at least 5 tables rather then the 3 tables(max) available to most players.
I observed this today as per my curiosity on how Mr_Smooth #1 on the leaderboard was able to earn 1425 share points in 24 hours.

With this info I believe an estimate down to around 420 hours @ 5 tables IF pokershare would allow.
At the current rate, the 10 Free LA Poker Classic seats will be gone within 45 days.

Whether you pay 3 USD/GBP in rake doesn't really matter. Poker is about BB and not about some currency values.

However, i am convinced that i am playing at too high a tables now. I used to buy in for 50 and play the pot limit .50/1 or the .25/.50 NLE tables. I have risen to 260 before only to start playing 1/2 tables. I would catch a bad run of cards and my bankroll would diminish way too much. I realize now that this probably isn't the best BR management. My question to you is, I am looking to buy back in on Full Tilt Poker. How much should i buy back in for and what tables and sit and go's should i begin at(from what i have read the 2.25 are easy money).

I've earned about 2000 VIP points at Martins mixing $1/2 limit and 50NL (or as Martins calls it .25/.50 NL) because of the lack of tables. Their equivalent to 25NL is .10/.20 where you can bring $20 to the table. You need a $7 NL pot to get a .35 rake and get a VIP point. You don't see many .10/.20 tables with an ave pot over $5. Admittedly there is some overlap between these two - since getting a bonus cleared faster is fun in itself But I mean from a pure poker perspective.
When I first started out I couldn't handle more than one table. Now I would get bored to death if I had to stick with just one...
I guess I am curious if this tendency just keeps on escalating the more proficient you get at poker in general and multitabling in particular. Or if there is a max number of tables that people would stick to if there were no financial benefits of doing more than that... | | Static Link |

If for no other reason than its the easiest thing to remember, tell the truth. Is a motto I firmly believe in away from the tables, but at the tables it is an entirely different story...
If poker players didn't lie, there would be no representing hands, or bluffing of any kind and that would, well, make poker a game that is not ery challenging. OOPS I missed the flop, but there is only one other player, better fold...
I don't think that poker player are patholigical liers, like my boss, and probably quite a few of use are honest in our non poker lives; but lieing, or bluffing, is part of the game.

Everyone has to learn, play and win poker their way - whether its winning at higher limit tables or whatever. There's no set rule that you must go from penny to dollar to hundred dollar tables. Whatever works for a player is what the player should do. You can't fault anyone for playing their game. There's no pat way to learn and win at poker.
