If poker counts, it simly says "poker", so table poker isn´t what you´re looking for. | | Static Link |

My boyfriend plays blackjack a lot at titan poker. They had the $1-$100 table, the $1-$200 table and the $1-$300 table. After he won $1,500 at the $1-$300 table, it disappeared! We emailed titan poker about it and they told us that table is still there. They asked us to take a screen shot of the screen where u choose which table u want. So we did and we hav'nt heard from them since! weird since we also emailed them months ago because We noticed something about the Maui Jackpot sit n go where if u win 5 in a row you win 15,000 and got no response. But in the rules they call it the maui jackpot $5 + $.50 buy in. the table is actually $5+$1
is something fishy here or is it just me? ( just noticed they fixed it )

you know you guys are talking about a person you only know on the poker table? You know this guy could be 100% different away from the table.
let me make a example.
If I said the Name Tony G. what would you say?
Im guessing something like, that guy is a jerk, he is mean, he is inconsiderate, right?
at the table you would be 100% correct but away from the table he is totally different, and most that know him personally say he is a nice guy. Phil might be the same way, he might just let his emotions get the best of him at the table. So before we pass judgement on someone I think we should really know them and not just from what espn shows at the table. Also we could just be seeing the times he is a baby at the table and not the 100x times he is respectful, espn is about ratings and Phil going babyish sells.

Yep, poker table was the reason I signed on to it. Got the table the other day...pretty nice actually. I was expecting something like the Walmart one I saw the other day for 20 bucks, but this is good and heavy..plywood or smooth particle board underneath...no padding, but no big deal. Clean on one side, blackjack on the other. Reversable chip trays.

Here's an Earth Poker oddity:
Was playing in a tourney a couple of days ago when idle table chat turned to what everyone thought about Earth Poker so far. Three players at the table asked what "Earth Poker" was. I laughed and told them they were playing it! They replied, no, they were playing "Banner Poker".
After several more exchanges, it appeared that I was on Earth Poker, they were on Banner Poker, but we were sitting at the same table, playing in the same tournament. Never heard of such. Emailed Earth Poker the next day to ask about it, but haven't received a reply.

You won't see anything at all until you leave a table. When you do, the bonus should be credited to your account like below. You can see a credit for the pay-to-play bonus, a debit of that amount to table chips, and it also shows up in the chips cashed in at the first table you cash out (I only had $54, not $91, when I left the first table).
As far as I could find, there is no status or other info about the bonus in the poker program itself.

this came up because of my last trip, I was supposed to meet my wife upstairs for some marital bonding, but I was on such a amazing run of cards I couldn't leave the table. So I thought I would make a post of when you should and when you shouldn't leave a poker table.
when to leave
1. When you feel you are not one of the better players at the table. As much as we like to think we are the best players at the table there will come times when you are not the best player. If more then half the table is as good as you or are better then you need to leave. At my second table there was 2 players that were as good as me if not better, since there were still 7 players I felt like I was better then I stayed. Now if we would of went shorthanded to 6 players or less I would not of stayed because it would not be profitable for me to sit there.

If you want to become better at poker, you have to realize that you can't always play by the book and expect to win. Sure you can only play premium hands that have a high EV of winning, but poker isn't just about playing the cards. You have to play the players too. I suggest watching the table stats before sitting down at a table. If you see that 70% of the players are seeing the flop, then this table is pretty much a crapshoot and you should stay away. If you see a table where about 29-33% of the players are seeing the flop, then this is a good table to sit at, and you can play tight and show profit in the long run. Also don't be afraid to make continuation bets! (a continuation bet is where you bet after the flop after making a preflop raise)

It doesn't. "Table Poker" isn't poker, and you can't clear this playing poker. I got one a while back that was only clearable at PartyBingo.
Oh, and I got the 15% at 8x version of the current offer. Just for reference, I can clear it via Poker, Gammon, Black Jack, Table Poker, Video Poker, Slots, Racing, Sportbets, TableCasino, Jackpot Slots, Bingo, and Keno.

OK, OK. You are both right.
When you watch the poker pros on TV, you can get good tips from them. But you also have to keep in mind the type of opponents they are playing. They are so good because they adapt to the table. At certain times, I've seen Gus Hansen be the tightest at the table and I've seen Dan Harrington bluff his ass off. They can both "change gears" to fit the table.
You definitely shouldn't play a 5c/10c online table like the pros play on High Stakes Poker, but you can get a few great tips from that show.

Here's an idea! How about a CardsChat play money table!?! Those who say they want "to play people I know while I learn" need a play money social table where they can discuss hands and walk through things as they happen (or talk about Aunt Bessy's bursitis, if desired). And it won't cost them a thing. Seminar-style meet-ups can be held and folks can learn without losing money. Kinda like teaching sessions.
I'm serious about this, but I oted to raise the stakes of the current table. If the stakes are lowered, it would be the near-equivalent of a play money table because human nature would be to take the bargain and chase, chase, chase. Anything below .50/$1 is not real poker and .50/$1 itself is borderline. This is a widely-held opinion that is not just my own, so no need to flame me.
To sum up: Make the social table a free table and keep the real table a real table where real poker is played by those of us who want to win.

The game of Poker presents an interesting paradox. It has long been alued to be able to conduct yourself like a gentleman (or lady) at the table. But the ery nature of the game is sheer warfare, with chips as bullets. Your focus must be on gutting everyone at the table if given the chance, with no apologies required or requested. As Doyle Brunson writes in "Super System", he sits down at every poker table with the intention of absolutely destroying it. But you'll not find a more graceful cardshark.
So, if you have the ability to say, "Please", "Thank you", and "Nice hand" with a smile on your face, even as you prepare to thrust your dagger deep into your opponent's entrails, you shoud be a pretty good poker player. Civility is for bridge. Good manners served with bad intentions are for the righteous poker table.

A few days ago ChuckT posted a thread requesting interesting poker charts and stats. I'm a stats junky myself and am constantly saving odds charts schedules and anything that helps me gain a sense of perspective at the table.
I found this attached chart in the first poker book I ever bought. " Learn How To Win At Texas Hold 'em Poker For 5 Bucks!" No joke. The best 5 bucks I ever spent.
Anyway, this chart gives you some idea of the chances that you'll be facing an ace at the table if you have one yourself and if you don't, depending on the number of opponents at the table. It demonstrates to me the increasing alue of an Ace X as the number of opponents drops. You'll see that at a six handed table the chance of competing against another ace is just about 50%. And Heads up, your Ace will stand up as the high card a staggering 88% of the time. This is important in short table situations where the high card will often take the pot.

In fact, last ngiht, I played in the final table of the $200 tournament in my poker league with a drunk. When he lost all his chips, he started to get up from his chair to leave. He seemed to lean foward a little bit and nearly fell on the table and almost knocked the table over. Soemone had to help him get up. It would have really sucked if he knocked the table over.

Whore, a review of your poker table chat has shown us that you are attempting to entice our players to sign-up with other operators by offering financial incentives.
We have therefore removed your chat facility.

Guys I could use some info...
I've been playing several tournaments on Party Poker but all the games seem to be 10-man table, and I really hate that.
Are their any online poker sites that cap at 6 man per table for tournaments?
I'm strictly talking tournament wise.
