Why is it that all Dobrosoft sites are terrible. Not many players at all. So from now on these sites are off my list: Poker World; 24x7 Poker; Aloha Poker; Bogart's Poker; Choice Poker; City Lights Poker; DSI Poker; Poker Elite; Emerald Poker; Mardi Gras Poker; MVP Poker; Poker Piazza; Poker Playground; Panther Poker; Popular Poker; Poker Shootout; America's Cardroom; Fabulous Poker; Poker Solei; The Platinum Poker Club; Desert Poker.

I just wanna know how many guys wrote these down to check out...sick bastards.

Topic: Rake Back: What is It and How do I get IT?? Forum: Card Chat

These rakeback sites are affiliated with the poker sites. The rakeback sites make money when you register for a particular poker site through them. In return, the rakeback sites give you back a % (usually around 30%) of the rake that you pay on the poker site you registered for. I don't know if I should link you to any here, but if you just google "poker rakeback" I'm sure you'll find some. As mentioned, the stipulation is that you generally have to be registering for the poker site for the first time, and use the rakeback site as your referrer (they'll explain what you have to do). Most, if not all, of the rakeback sites won't let you get rakeback if you already have an account at the poker site.

I was talking to my stepfather the other day. He works for a software company. He was telling me that some poker sites that you download their program take the majority of your CPU usage and sell them to other sites. The sites who buy it either flood it with pop up advertisements or install a "worm" into your computer which causes arious problems that cannot be easily fixed. Anybody hear about this? If it's true (and I won't be surprised if it is), we should be careful on which poker sites to download. I told my stepfather I stick to the poker sites this site has a link too since it's the source of poker information I trust.

Some poker sites could be embedded with a irus. Some take up a lot of your CPU, causing it to slow down your computer or freezing. it would really dpeend what poker sites you downloaded from. Try system restore and see if that does anything. If not, take ti to a computer repair service. I recommend sticking with the poker sites listed here to avoid future problems:http://www.cardschat.com/poker-bonuses.php

I learned my lesson the hard way at few different poker sites. I just stay away from Blackjack at any online casino or online poker room. I think the poker sites are brilliant for putting it on their sites though. I know a number of people who have tilted their bankroll away trying to win back money lost from a poker bad beat. Not worth the trouble in the long run.

Propposition players are usually very experienced players.

For sites that emerge from this that currently have a lot of props, they will also absorb players from other sites. Also, props are probably not as good as you would think. Some of the current small sites that have a lot of props are amoung the loosest sites on the net.

Found two that I had not seen listed anywhere on bonuswhores before. They were Doyle's Room and Top Hand Poker. Anybody got any info on these sites. Doyle's Room offered his big thick book for signing up.

Pokeraddict (BW Support) wrote: Wasn't NY the state that took on Paypal and got the big fine out of them? Maybe that is why these sites decided to steer clear of NY.

Yes, and citibank credit cards. The issue was settled by them not doing transactions with poker sites. This was in 1999 though.

Besides the date being important, the other issue was the places (business) resided in NY and was on the transaction side, not the poker sites.

I have no problem with them banning NY, but when people and sites claim online poker in NY is illegal, that is false. What I don't want happening is for someone to read that and assume it and base decisions off of it.

Topic: Poker 'ban' in USA Forum: Card Chat

Simply put, England will not be affected by this. This is a thorn in the side for US players. It is NOT banning online poker. It specifically calls for US banks to not allow transfer of funds to online gambling sites. Poker is not specifically mentioned, but obviously those sites are impacted as well. However, third party sites like Neteller cannot be blocked as they deal with other things besides just poker/gambling sites. So if US players put money in Neteller then getting money onto and out of poker sites will be a non-issue.

The biggest kick to us in the US is that there are a bunch of sites out there (including Titan) that are running away with their tails between their legs. They are closing US player accounts because of all of this.

That's kind of the nutshell summary. There are some other small details I've missed that I'm sure others will be quick to point out.

Edit: guess we were typing and submitting around the same time.

Hey,

I have played poker for a while now but only on a select few sites. I have been looking for a list of sites that offer redeamable points for playing on their site but have not found anything on the topic. Some sites that I have played on that I know offer points for playing on their sites are Empire Poker, party poker, and ultimate bet. My question is what other sites offer frequent player points that are redeamable for prizes, vip clubs, etc.etc. Any help is appreciated.

Topic: How are the Pokersites going to deal with their .Net sites? Forum: Card Chat

Well technically the legislation only deals with financial transactions involving 'illegal gambling' sites. As no financial transactions are involved in the .net sites, on the face of it they should be unaffected.

However it's obvious that the .net sites are used as a 'gateway' to the .com sites. Whether the poker sites decide to leave the .net sites open to Americans knowing that it's incredibly unlikely they're going to deposit real money (and of course illegal if they do) is entirely another question.

So I guess the answer is I dunno, and I don't think anyone knows except the powers that be at the sites themselves.

When it comes to an organisation looking after your money, I think you really have to be 99-100% sure that they are legitimate. Top sites with good reputations include all the "biggies" like Party, Poker Stars, Ultimate, Full Tilt Poker, etc. It's best to steer clear of small, less established sites asking you to send highly confidential info in my opinion (this is why I didn't touch Mansion Poker with a barge pole).
Sites connected to UK betting companies like Coral, William Hill, Ladbrokes and Paddy Power Poker are also pretty secure and reliable.

Not sure what you mean by "free", but check the list of bonuses found at the navigation bar here on CardsChat. If you mean sites that will give you, say, $10 without you having to deposit, then there's not many to be found in the bonuses page. Maybe some other people here know more about those sites than I do, though.

Topic: Poker 'ban' in USA Forum: Card Chat

This is the way I understand things. The bill that was passed will not allow financial institutions to accept payments from off shore gambling sites. So the problem isn't so much playing poker as it is getting paid if you want to cash out. Unfortunately, some sites are dropping US customers out of fear of what could happen. (at least that's my opinion) Someone here said that this should simply make Neteller a stronger option than before. As the member said, once the cash is sent to Neteller there is no way to know if that cash was used for Poker or to buy a watch.

Edit: This shouldn't effect you in any way Kerocous with the exception of (possibly) less players on your sites due to overreaction by some Poker sites. As for the effect on the Americans, I think it should just up the use of Neteller and increase traffic on the sites that will continue to allow Americans to play.

Topic: Poker Site Transfers Forum: Bonus Whores
I'm from Australia and Neteller have now closed my account (what the??).

Anyway, I was thinking that at least one of the many poker sites out there have a way of withdrawing money that would suit each individual player. (For me it's Party Poker with their BPay option which basically allows me to deposit and withdraw straight into my bank account).

Now if you are able to withdraw/deposit in some way with a particular poker site the only thing left would be to deposit/withdraw from poker site to poker site to take advantage of your best withdrawal method.

My question is then: Why don't the poker sites themselves set up a way to transfer money to/from other poker sites? I know they would want you to play at their site but, with the present poker climate, they may not have much choice.

Any thoughts? Stupid? Rip into me

I just noticed another site closed down today. Bigbet poker is no longer offering cash games. I had 31 cents still in my account there. My first site closure loss it looks like.

I wonder how this will affect the mentality of players who have always been afraid of placing money in smaller poker sites and new sites? At least with new sites you know they should be well capitalized to absorb initial losses for awhile. So deposits should be safe for several months. But with these smaller sites that have been around for awhile that haven't attracted many players still, well, I think we've seen what eventually will happen after this Black Sunday.

My opinion is that the top sites continue to grow while the rest struggle as more and more new sites join the ranks.

In the US, it won't matter if we prove it is skill. The government will need to save face 2nd, and get their money 1st. It may take some time. It may even be possible that the government doesn't even crack down on poker sites. I have only heard of sports betting online being hassled. I have not heard of any poker sites from being fined, shutdown, or arrests. It is a shame that so many poker sites are afraid to offer their action to the US, but thankfully so many are popping up.

I don't know about NINETY good poker sites, perhaps 50-60 of them are out there if you're ambitious enough. also keep in mind that many sites have frequent reloads and/or monthy recurring bonuses you can go back to, and also keep in mind that there are some sites with bonuses which are not actually worth doing to begin with.

first play some poker, then worry about if there is enough free money out there for you. I'd pretty much guarantee that there is. I "only" have about 30 poker accounts myself so far and you've got a long ways to go to catch up with even a below-average whore like me.

If you registere a username on one of the prima poker sites it reserves you that username for all of them.

When you download another one and go to make your account if you use the same code you were emailed from the first one then you can use the same user name on that one.

If you play using two accounts at the same time the collusion software will pick it up and you will more than likely get banned from the network and they may well pass your details out to other poker sites as well.

For a full list of all the prima poker sites go to www.primapoker.com there are more than 11 iirc ;]
