If they wanted to exclude ideo poker, why not just say that. There is a clear ideo poker tab in the RTG interface. It is ery easy to say that all ideo poker games are excluded, and it is ery clear what games they are referring to. By listing 3/4 of the available ideo poker games, I think it would be reasonable to conclude that the other 1/4 are unrestricted.

UB no limit is better than their limit games. Way easy to beat at low limits. I usually play the .25/.50 NL game or the .50/1.00 NL game. Their is a big difference in each game. My list would look like this:

Metropolitan Poker is a Poker Nexus skin (Poker Fantasy). The bonus is a 10x contributed raked hand bonus. One problem on the network is a lack of games, however there is some decent action during the day and usually a couple stray games at night- $0.25/$0.50NL, $1/$2NL. Like a lot of the small sites without PT support, the games can be juicy.

After reading their list of excluded games, I drew the conclusion that clearly SOME ideo poker games were alright. If they had wanted to exclude all ideo poker games, they would have just said so. But by only listing 3/4 of the games (this is clearly not a case where they mistakenly omitted 1 out of 20 games, they omitted several ariations), I don't see your logic.

Noble doesn't have the widest ariety of games...they have Holdem, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo.
It sounds like a silly question but why would a site not have a wider ariety of games?
i know they are quite capable of coming up with software to provide players with these games just as others like Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars have
It would also attract more players who enjoy a wider ariety of games and not just Holdem
so why would they not have these games?

Let me see whether I can settle this argument:
Poker is a game of chance AND a game of skill.
Chance because we depend on the draw of the cards.
Skill because we can manipulate the odds in our favor.
Backgammon, horse racing and the stock market are also these type of games.
Roulette and slot machines are games of chance.
Chess and Tic-Tac-Toe are games of skill (though not at the same level ).
Back to the original question:
I don't know much about horse racing. But from the card games where you can have an edge, I think poker games give the most edge. I am not sure which poker game leads. That would be nice to know.
The edge in the stock market is much smaller than that of poker. On average, you get 10% return per year. If you are the best, like Warren Buffet, you get 22% per year. That's nothing compared to poker.
The edge in blackjack is much smaller than that in poker, especially when they use multiple decks. | | Read Entire Entry |

Thanks for the tips. I signed up for bet365 and I'm considering depositting $50 sometime soon. Um, in the terms and conditions, they say that playing any "Pai Gow Poker" games aren't allowed either to meet the WR, which games are those? For fun, I was getting a feel for some of the games in the fun mode, and I was playing the 3-card poker and realizing that it's really easy to win. Does that count toward my WR? Also, the 50 line poker didn't seem that bad. Blackjack seemed to be difficult and roulette there was not as bad as the table at 32 egas.

It does seem that because of the frenzy that NL Holdem has created, most people I know tend to shy away from the other poker ariations. I'm kind of old school myself, preferring draw poker and 5 or 7 stud to hold-em. these are the games I learned the game of poker with so they are my favorites for sentimental reasons if nothing else. These other games can teach you different aspects of the total game. 5 and 7 stud teaches you quite a bit about reading players, and 5 card draw is one of the best games to work on your table game tactics ( especially bluffing) I also don't see any reason why you can't be good at different poker games. The hardest part is learning how to calculate the odds with the different games, but the strategy never really changes. It will always be the best hand wins, or convincing the other player that you have it.
Side note: Has anyone ever seen 5 card draw offered at an online casino? I don't think I've ever seen it at any of the sites I play at.

For example, I enjoy Scrabble and Chess. I see poker as a ery similar game (at least the way I play it). It is a logic game and a puzzle. I enjoy the calculations and the strategy involved.
So, what other games do you play and how do you think they are similar (or different) then your interest in poker?

The first poker book I ever bought was David Sklansky's Theory of Poker and it has a lot of advanced stuff in it. I would recommend you read Phil Gordon's little green book first and then the theory of poker and from there you have plenty of other good books to choose from. Harrington on Holdem is excellent for tournament and Sit n Go games. I think the theory of poker is regarded as a must-read for ring games though (cash games). Personally I regard it as such and the books in aliengenius' thread that he linked to are good also. Although I havn't read a lot of those but plan to soon now. Hope we've helped some.

Well, freeroll play is not even close to conventional poker play at cash games. I don't think a comparison of styles or plays can be made between freerolls and cash games.
I think you need to learn a bit more about how to exactly play poker and how to play certain cash games, SnGs, and MTTs, before we can give you any feedback on your gameplay, tips, and any style of play you might have.
Advice = Play Cash Games (not freerolls) and Learn More About Poker (through any source of information you can possibly find), then we can give you a bit more advice.

In their terms they state that all poker ariations are excluded. And their examples are power poker and ideo poker. But not only are they also excluding carribean poker, pai kow poker, tri card poker, but even what normally taken to be 'table games' such as red dog....along with BJ, and the 'usual 3', they in fact only allow slots and keno
So why dont you just say 'SLOTS AND KENO ONLY' and end of story? But instead you would prefer the 3, 4 lines of words, a paragraph. And if you prefer a big chunk of words to begin with why not list the names of every single excluded games?
Geesh and the WR is 15x(D+B), too.
