Believe it or not, there are slot machines on the Net which have better payout schedules than those in Vegas. But remember of course that slots can be set to arious levels of "tightness" in Vegas - while online, some providers have control over all of the machines of their franchisees, so that the payout schedule should be the same throughout the system.
I wouldn't necessarily say that online casinos cater to the table game players more. Slots are the biggest money earner both online and in Vegas - and any casino that didn't try to attract slots play would be making a mistake.
RWB is not online because there's a copyright issue involved. No "real" copies of slots are available online for real play, though wagerworks.com has the Odyssey machines online for fun.

Dalzilla: Just the kinda info I wanted - tend to play mostly BJ online, but now that land casi "out of bounds" will play more slots online. Thanks.
I mentioned to Syd re Starluck (java option) slots; good ariety, but I didn't get much payout. Also some negative posts re their BJ; but they paid people I know . fast - try their slots on fun mode first, if you haven't already. (Not recommending them, just informing you of their 1c slots.)

Just had terrible time on $l4US ($24A) BJ here - lc slots would have given me longer.
Last 4 times dreadful BJ, lc slots would have lasted longer LOL! I got a REAL kick out of getting $20 for l5c. on Mardi Gras - most ever online, but never get anything when .75-$l.50 bets, just not lucky with slots/vp online, only BJ gives me wins at times.

They are actually my current favorites and stand up to Microgaming any day. RTG is coming out with some really nice ones too.

If you are playing slots, I'd suggest you stop playing online now.
As a programmer, why on earth do you choose to play slots? The RNG generated for slots is weighted before applying to the reels, thus they can set the payout anyway they like. Normally they set the payout between 80-95% but they have the right to set it as 50% or lower. Even if they do that it's still justified because slots are supposed to be NON RANDOM.
The major difference between online and land based gambling is that you will play MUCH faster. With a high house edge, your chance of winning with slot is close to minimum and you will loose your money much faster playing online.
Maybe you should stick on land based casino. At least you got free drink or meals for the action.

They don't tighten the slots. I am positive that none of the MG licensees have the ability to change odds.
I am sure it is the same as it is in Vegas. Have you ever seen one of those ads that state "we have the tightest slots in town"? What they do is set a few of their slots so they will have the highest payout...they then get you on the other slots that are not quite so lose.
What a lot of online casinos do is market the slots that are already tighter (higher margin for the casino) than the others so they can maximize their profits.
That is why you almost never see Blackjack tournaments or contests. Why bring in more customers to play games that the casinos don't make money on any way?

i do believe that their casino platform sets the all the games to pay out like slots or ideo poker. This includes all the table games. I"m sure it is like that in all online casinos. So if someone wins 8k on the slots this decreases the odds for all other games. not just slots.

It's a good market to hit. There are lots of people in the world who play nothing but slots, so the WR aren't any big deal to them other than having to place a certain number of bets. But it doesn't bother them as much as someone who prefers Blackjack, for example.
But also, starting with slots players gives you a chance to be their first experience with other games. The beautiful thing about online casinos is that they have always been ery good at 'graduating' the player.

I usually play VP online, but sometimes I have a go at slots to break it up a little. I have got some good wins over the years on MG and Playtech slots, but Im damned if I can win anything reasonable at RTG slots.
Those new 9-line bonus games are REALLY bad in my experience.....has anyone actually won anything on these games??.
I also want to say that INetBet are the best RTG operation I have ever played at....nice going again in 2003 Emily and Co!

Also, I must add. One of the companies here in town made alot of headlines in the local press here. What they did was the following.
They had slots in thir office, sat wagering wagering wagering until they got the jackpot, then they put the slots out again for others to play... Oh they made money this way, since the machines ate huge money back! They also got some bad press out of it since this man wasn't excactly a nice guy.
They could easily do this, since they was informed about the cycles and such from their slot, and since two jackpots do not occure within the same cycle.
Another one, tihs is funny! Have you ever heard of the times the machines have a bug which can be manipulated? So that you get a sure win all the time, happends on new slots! I myself have emptied slots this way.
But here is the kicker - when you have done this, have you ever played on the slot afterwards not using the trick? Loooser, you will not win shit!
I wonder why!

I think casinos only have to set the average minimum payout of slots, but they can change the payout of every single machine daily. I am not sure how much is the minimum payout, I guess it's different from city to city.
Wizard of odds has conducted a research on the payout of slots in LV:

As you can see, the house edge of slots is 7-14%, about 14x - 28x more than BJ or fully paid VP.
I myself has use wizard's methodology on one RTG slot and find out the payout is 89-90%. Maybe MG offer better odds on slots, still they can change the payout anytime.
Maybe I've said too much. Without slot players, the online gambling industry would be no more.
As far as I know, slot players tend to love slots and will play slots no matter what the odds is. I am sorry if I offend any slot players in ayway but I must say it's a ery expensive habbit.

Well Ive been away for the weekend so just seeing how this has all progressed. Okay maybe the offensive articles have been taken down, but I'm still not impressed at all. Very concerned that it seems that Ecogra you will be taking any real action against JF for this....and call me synical but I simply to not buy JF response with regareds to this being a mistake that they have now rectified!! I agree there is no reason why ideo slots which are far less limited than real slots should be so sterile.
By the way they do use the actual roms of the slots and you can download the original layouts and sounds with the ast majority of them.
Perhaps I should start a thread on whether people are satisfied with the current crop of ideo slots and if not what they would like to see introduced. I know casinos like Davincis Gold have I-slots but even these only offer a change of wallpaper rarther than a complete makeover.

They can set any payout on slots. It's legal even on Las Vegas as long as it's above the standard (80%?). While in online gambling there is no such a standard so they can set it to whatever it is.
However, they cannot set payout on keno. Your best bet is to bet $10 per hand, select 7 (payout 85.16%) on keno and see if you can win big or loose them all. With STD of 41.05 you might stand a tiny bit of fighting chance.
It's pointless to play other games in the beginning though. The more you play the more you loose.
BTW, when you are happy with your result and want to minimize the ariance, bet $1 on pick 2 Keno is your best bet. (payout 84.18% STD 3.33)

As a slot lover, I am surprised some of the online casinos dont loosen their slots to attract the ardent slot players.
It is pretty obvious to me that most of the casinos are holding them at around 92% which is no better than most B&M and well below some such as North Vegas and Boulder area of Vegas (96-97%).
While everyone knows slots are a terrible bet(including us players), we will play where our money last the longest.
CASINOS WAKE UP!!- Show me a place with 97% slots and i will play there consistently.

Hello everyone!
I am suprised to hear of all the troubles that everyone is having!! The Casino Online has always made fast delivery of my winnings!! I won the Jackpot on the Quarter Slots at The Casino Online twice and had my Winnings in less than a week!! I recently last week to be exact have Hit the Jackpot on the $1 Diamond Mine Slots and Cashed Out for $2200, and I am awaiting my Tracking Number now!! I am sure when Larry hears of your troubles that he will see that it is taken care of as he always has!! I hope everything works out for you all!!

There has been a discussion on how to play bj online and I claim that you cannot play bj as you would in real life. This is a first for me in a ery long time for I said before, when I get to 30 dollars, I play bj but totally opposite of how I would play in real life and have had many sessions where I would continue to play slots after dabbling and getting my stash up enough to feel comfortable in playing the slots (50-100 dollars) again.
Well, as I said, this is the first time in a ery long time (YEARS) I busted out from the get go ...I played PERFECT play and it SUX. I will NEVER play this way again, but wanted to prove to myself and show others, it just can't be done and get ahead.
I feel absolutely stupid and am so pissed at myself for doing this because I KNOW you can't win playing perfect play online. Now, I have to make another deposit because I was gullible enough to think that it has changed

There are all kinds of fun slots, from the old type one reelers (don't knock them, they pay out nicely sometimes) through ideo slots to free spin types, progressive jackpots, random jackpots and feature slots.
Slots are great fun to play and they do have some ery high wins.
Some have many small hits, some have few but large hits.
There's pretty much the right slot for everyone.
