The problem with online blackjack (or even casino blackjack machines) is that they shuffle after every deal. You can't get a count or even a sense of what's left in the deck. Might as well play "War".

poker is based on more skill than blackjack... online at least. If you're in a casino then blackjack is certainly a game to play with great odds for the players... but I find it hard to believe that online blackjack isn't completely rigged.

I have played live blackjack and do pretty well at it. I just usually have to sharpen my basic skills before I go though. I tried the online blackjack over a pokertime. I wasn't real happy with the results.

Cardsharp, if you are doing well at it Great. Keep it going especially if you are doing better at non pokersites than the pokersites that have Blackjack. If you can get to a LIVE real Casino and are doing well already online, save some of your money for Live Blackjack you should do excellent.

I have played blackjack in Las Vegas for a long time, and I can definitely say that internet blackjack is not the same. During live blackjack, sometimes, you will get on a roll and make good money, but online it doesn't seem like you can win more than two or three hands in a row. Or, the computer dealer will string 6 cards together to beat your 20. This doesn't just happen once during an online session. It might happen live, but it will be rare. If you want to play blackjack, go to a casino.

Not true. If he started to gain serious money by ariance being on his side, the client would block his Blackjack (blackjack, you perv). They have done for many people. Plus, donking 13 millions in three days, with a cap on the amount you can bet on any hand (1k ?), is ridiculous.

Okay, I'll phrase it differently. If all online blackjack is rigged... why do many online casinos initially count blackjack towards bonus wagering requirements, then later drop blackjack as an allowed game, often shortly after many players report playing blackjack and making a gain? Did they drop blackjack as an allowed game because counting it was like admitting they were rigged?

I did not bother to read any farther than this..."I tried to make some money by playing blackjack"

That was your first and biggest mistake.

What were you gonna do? Count cards in an online blackjack game? And then expect the casinos to payoff?

Here is some advice; If you want to have some fun and have a reasonable chance of winning, play online blackjack....

However, if you want to make money at blackjack... buy a casino.

It's not the first time Ultimatebet froze an account because it was a winning Blackjack account (some posts on another forum wich I won't link to attest to this). It's true, you can only play if you lose and since they know you should lose (there's no way to beat online blackjack), they want players who run hot to stop minimizing their profits.

Live Blackjack is beatable, online is not.

Hi there, I'm new to this group and to online gambling. I have a question regarding the blackjack at 888.com. Is it fair or do they use inhouse software rigged in favour of the dealer?
I'm a bit concerned as I've played blackjack a lot at land based casinos and have never been butchered the way I was last night. It certainly seemed things were tilted in favour of the house and reminded me of the cheap, rigged blackjack that can be played on pokie machines at the pub. I was playing their online system that does not require any download.
Any feedback on this?

I just want to do a followup on the 3Dice Blackjack, after spening quite some hands today. It's obvious that the the system predetermines if you are going to win or not, since when you are on a roll you may pick that extra card and get your 21. Trust me, I've tried. On the other hand, it's isa ersa when the system is in favour.

The thing I do want to clarify however, is that - first time for me that is - possible to accually win on the blackjack. The system however is ery streaky, indeed, but you might just get that streak in your favour.

It's online, but from all the other casinoes I've played at this has to be the blackjack I like the most. (surely since I accually managed to win in the blackjack in places I was sure the dealer would throw a 21, like other certain casinoes).

So, a sort of clarification there - I still have my opinions, however online we don't have much to choose from. We have MG, RTG and a few others. 3Dice has to be the fairest I would say atleast.

Hmm...I've watched some of my friends play blackjack online, and that shit is rigged like no other.

My friend tried at Paradise Poker, where the minimum bet is .10 and the max bet is $300. He would start at .10 and double his bet when he hit a loss. To reach the $300 max bet, you would have to lose 13 consecutive hands, which is next to impossible if you play basic blackjack strategy. Guess what. My friend won for a little while and was up $65 on the site. Then he hit a losing streak, and lost 14 straight hands. Half of the $1000 he won in an MTT earlier in the day was gone.

In blackjack the dealer has odds of 52/48, which is not a ery large margin. Even if you stood on every hand, you would not lose 14 straight hands, as eventually the dealer will hit lower than you or bust. It is impossible to go on that kind of losing streak in blackjack, but I hear it happens in online blackjack all of the time.

A blackjack player who is out to beat the edge looks for every advantage possible... it's tough enough with a single deck and downtown rules. But some of us are gamblers, hell yes I'll double on a twelve online I'm a gambler.

magnek...

If you are so sure about that...then tell me exactly how you know this.

I fully understand the odds when playing "real Blackjack or real VP". The online game is strictly a representation of the real game. It doesn't follow some of the basic fundamental rules that real casinos do.

When you play Blackjack you know how many decks are in play and you have a chance to see all the cards that have been dealt and you know about how much is left in the shoe.

With online blackjack you know none of these things.

If you read the policies and rules of the blackjack games at all online casino's you will find out that after every single hand the "DECK" is reshuffled. This of course heavily favors the house therefore eliminating any potential edge for the player. It is impossible to win at blackjack online in the longrun of course any thing can happen short term.

Topic: Opinion..Should you split every chance you get in BJ? Forum: Winner Online

NO!

One standard rule is to always split aces and eights, never fours, fives, or tens. You will split 2s, 3s, 6s, 7s against most low cards, and 9s against 2-6 and 8-9 (stand with 18 s. 7, because you have a good shot to win immediately if the dealer has a 17).

The exact strategy depends on the rules of the game you are playing. For instance, in many online blackjack games you want to hit a pair of 8s against a dealer ten or ace, because you will lose a doubled bet if the dealer has a blackjack.

Find a basic strategy for your game. For online blackjack, http://www.thewizardofodds.com has charts for 5 common casino software packages.

I believe this thread needs to be split into 2 separate subjects.
1 online blackjack
2 Bricks and mortar blackjack

Go ahead and use the odds which have been published for playing at the bricks and mortar games. I have no argument about that and I also accept the card counting argument. They are alid in actual games because there are no outside factors influencing the outcome.

For online blackjack, you are a fool to trust that the game is programmed to duplicate real life action. The fact that the online game is PROGRAMMED, is the key to the inability to use the normal odds. As long as a game is programmed, standard odds no longer apply, as the programming influences the game to improve the benefit to the house.

On Microgaming sites, I've switched from blackjack to baccarat. Blackjack isn't a 50/50 game in terms of hands won--you should expect to lose more hands than you win; that should be offset somewhat in the long-term with good splits and double-downs.

My best runs in blackjack online historically have been on Unified Gaming sites, from before they changed their rules set on many sites.

The "Blackjack.com" domain might not be as good as you might think.

A casino that primarily attracts Blackjack players will not be in business long. As I understand it Blackjack is typically the lowest margin game at most online casinos.

That is why most of the premier casino groups are moving to a lot of regular and progressive slot games...to improve their margin.

Yeah once you loose like 4 5 dollars online you think you have to win it back but you just end up losing more. I think poker it was easier than blackjack because you control your own fate, when your playing blackjack and the dealer gets a count of 10 and you get a 6 your screwed. You have like 20% chance of winning its not fun.

I can find no mention of anywhere.I distinctly remember reading there are 4 casinos offering the best blackjack online.

I think they became the best by default when the firm that used to offer the best blackjack changed thier rule/s.

I only really play /poker but have decided to check out the beast of blackjack for myself.I figured the best place to start would be at the "loosest",so to speak..

Maybe i got it in a newsletter lately and deleted it 'cause i was'nt into b/j at the time.
