I'm with Gambleworks. The nature of gambling is to take chances. And that is to except loosing at times. Many people here complain about casinos not being fair because they looses. If everyone wins at gambling then casinos would be out of business?
Hey gambleworks! I think online casinos and affiliates profits from all of this don't you think?

I was just looking at some of the Julie's Gambling Grumbles and it really struck me as to how inept, illiterate or just plain shady alot of these casinos are. They have no idea what service is. They ignore, tell bs, change the web pages when promotions go against them,etc.etc.

At this time, I cannot imagine recommending online gambling (to anyone i like, lol)unless they were shown exactly which casinos are solid. Anyone who doesnt know what they are doing could ery easily be ripped off. I wonder what % of the 1800 or so online casinos are solid.

Please God let the Nevada casinos get online soon as possible!! The H.ll with bonuses. Just let me play somewhere I feel sure is fair!!!!!!!! Oh yeah God, also please do away with all of the sleazoid casinos out there now (although im sure the Nevada casinos will take care of that).

I am new at online gambling. I have wasted countless hours and blown a lot of cash at land-based casinos. I want a gambling medium that isn't quite as corrupted as traditional casinos.

I know I can play bacarrat ery well and make enough money to supplement my income, but traditional casinos are noisy, I can't control who gets to play with me, the dealer makes mistakes, the pit boss gets on my nerves when I'm hot...(you know what I mean?). Where are the truly honest online casinos that will pay me my winnings like they say they will?

Gambling losses are only deductable as itemized deductions up to the amount of gambling winnings, unless you are a professional gambler. This means that gambling cannot reduce your taxes, if fact, you can lose money and still end up owing more taxes.

Sorry guys, but I'll take the USA over any other country any day, warts (especially politicians) and all. No use bringing up the "issues" of other countries.

As for gambling ... I am surprised the idiots in Congress don't look at this online gambling as a big bonanza for cash.

I have been going to Las Vegas for over twenty years. Used to seem almost like I was doing something "dirty" when I went there.

During the 1980's and beyond, states found out that they could make good money by running lotteries. Then, riverboat casinos and casinos run by American Indians started popping up everywhere.

As poker became more popular, suddenly gambling became more and more a part of everyday life.

NOW ... suddenly Congress decides that gambling is bad???

Is this a gambling junkie behaviour?? Do we like been treated like crap and not getting paid what we deserve?? (I include my self since I have done it in the past)

It is really weird... I am sure that the threads and posts will lower in a tremendous way if people would only play at casinos accredited by this site.

There's a new complaint about an RTG casino in gambling grumbles at gambling.com.
Quicksilver Casino. I'm still confused as to why RTG closed down certain casinos when most of the others seem as bad.

Can they close casinos down for not playing players anyway, as they say they've done with a few recently? Wouldn't that imply that they have responsibilty in that regard as well? I think RTG are happy as long as they get their monthly fee.

I am sad to see this happen too. In theory players would be better represented by an independent organization rather than gambling.com which is supported by advertising from the casinos. In practice Gambling Grumbles has behaved in a ery professional and independent way. Julie and Do before her have been of great assistance to me when I was complaining about some of their major advertisers. As long as internet gambling is completely unregulated there will be a great need for accurate information about how the casinos are behaving. The OPA may still have a reason for being in that function, in cooperation with honest portal sites and message boards.

It may not be that bad. Many non-gamblers have PayPal accounts. Anyone who has used E-bay probably has a PP account.

Over the last few months, I've realized many of my non-gambling friends have PayPal accounts. All of them have used PP for E-bay transactions.

When my CC's started to be declined at online casinos, I had to be dragged kicking and screaming to PP. I just didn't want to go through all the hassles.

But if I wanted to play, I needed to join PP. Now that I have a PP account, I use it for many other things besides online gambling. Even if I weren't gambling online, I would still have a PayPal account.

Ecasinos will have to make an effort to get customers into PP. If they can do that, they shouldn't have a problem.

Still, depositing at online casinos isn't as easy as it used to be. The clever casinos will survive. The bad casinos will go under.

And if your casino is run by beat_them_silly and hates and blames customers for their problems as m...

I think the numbers you present are ery reasonable. I am not ery experienced at gambling and won well over $30,000 last year. It would have been $40,000 if Golden Palace had actually paid me. And yes, I did pay taxes on it. US tax laws are not ery favorable for gambling income.

One of the problems is that playing a lot of new and unproven casinos has its own risk above the odds of gambling. When the reliable casinos cut off your bonuses you will be left with only the unproven ones.

Another problem this year is that payments have become slower in many cases, especially the RTG casinos. Last year there were still long waits for your winnings, but at least the credit card deposit was returned promptly. Several RTG casinos(and not just the troubled Vegas Strip Group) are now routinely taking several weeks just to return your deposit. The top sites listings at gambling.com are a complete joke to anyone who is aware of net gambling. While I am a satisfied customer at English Harbour, it's obvious that they got their #1 spot by offering $20 for otes. All of the top 5 casinos at gambling.com pay $10 to $20 for otes.

This is a great deal for their players, and probably a ery efficient marketing strategy for the casinos as well, but is totally worthless for the supposed purpose of a top sites poll -- namely to point newcomers to players' favorite casinos.

Four Aces just rocketed into the #5 spot last month from #21. Is it a coincidence that this was the same month they offered $20 for otes? I have have no doubt that Pinnace can come up with four of the top ten spots. They are paying $10 apiece for otes at six of their casinos this month.

Unified Gaming is going to have a harder and harder time surviving in the online gambling business unless they clear up the complaints and get off the OPA's Not Recommended list. The wild-west days of online gambling are coming to an end. Which casinos are good and bad is becoming more known to consumers (thanks in great part to the OPA)... and gambling sites are going to advance this process by refusing to accept ads from disreputable casinos and sportsbooks. TOPOV, if you're still reading: talk to Steve Adkins. It's in the best interest of UG.

As for Steve, I think he's done a lot of good for the online gambling industry. His strength is that he's fearless: he'll say anything about anybody. His weakness may be his lack of tact, but overall it's a good thing we have him.

Casinos operate within a state and therefore under state laws, not federal laws. If a state wants to allow casinos, the federal government has no say in the matter at all.

The federal government does, however, have the power to regulate interstate commerce, which is any commerce that occurs across state lines, which internet gambling does. So they have the power to pass laws regarding internet gambling.

The two faced issue is making internet gambling for lotteries and horse racing legal, not them leaving casinos legal.

Group,

I continue to audit several casinos on behalf of Certified Fair Gambling, taking over the services originally provided by Michael Shackleford. These audits are conducted monthly. I stand behind each casino I audit for the fairness of its games.

I have never audited the games at Hotpepper; they are using the "Certified Fair Gambling" seal without my permission, as are the other casinos indicated in the notice I posted on my page. Because of this, I have no comment on the fairness of the games at any casino in this list. I made several attempts to contact management of these casinos about this issue. I contacted Michael Shackleford about this issue, and he told me this was an ongoing problem he faced with several on-line casinos.

I am continually looking for casinos that are using the seal without my permission; the list indicated on the Certified Fair Gambling website is current.

With best regards,

The South Australian Government is being asked to reclassify games with gambling themes as adult-only products.

The proposal has been put forward by No Pokies MP Nick Xenophon, who is concerned the games are rated as suitable for children from the age of eight.

He says the games are a source of complaints to his office.

Mr Xenophon's plan is supported by Mark Henley, from the Inter-Church Gambling Task Force, who says gambling games are shown to increase the risks of problem gambling later in life.

"There is a difference between perhaps kids playing cards and card games and something that is ery much set up to look like a casino," he said.

Well, they advertise Land Casinos in places where casinos are illegal, so it would seem there should not be a taboo against this.

It amazes me that land gambling is okay, but internet gambling is a scourge. Kids who want to gamble (have sex, do drugs, stay out too late), have managed to do these things w/o inteference from the government.

If that is the concern, they should stop wasting taxpayers' money on this effort. Congress has never been able to police morality, and that is not going to change.

Vicki,

That is truly a terrible situation for anyone, especially someone who is unable to cope with his problems like that.

Unfortunately, human weakness is as much a part of gambling as anywhere else. You cannot stop people from gambling, if that's what they want to do. Compulsive or not. Long before B&M casinos, people found ways to gamble away their money, and those without computers and who do not go to land casinos continue to find ways to gamble.

Compulsive people will find something to be compulsive about. Lots of people have lost their shirts in the stockmarket and killed themselves and others. Is it the stockmarket's fault?

Obviously, you know that people commit suicide for reasons that have nothing to do with gambling. I think it is more that gamblers are super-sensitive about it, and feel compelled to defend gambling that makes such a personal tragedy into something other than what it is. A personal human tragedy, not a gambling story.

After all, I don't think gambling.com actually purchases these credits to pass out...it is done by the casino as a promo. At most casinos you can't combine 2 or more bonus'.
