So I sat down at my computer with a tasty bowl of SLOTS CRUNCH CEREAL to check out the latest posts in the forum. WOW! I was amazed to discover that my favorite food is fortified with every itamin on earth, plus certain doses of psychotic plants. No wonder it is so damn tasty!

There are all kinds of fun slots, from the old type one reelers (don't knock them, they pay out nicely sometimes) through ideo slots to free spin types, progressive jackpots, random jackpots and feature slots.
Slots are great fun to play and they do have some ery high wins.

The slots have a sneaky rule that no win can exceed 40,000 x line bet. On the usual 20 line slots this would limit such an event to a mere 2000x total bet, nothing like the true alue of hitting all five expanding wilds during free spins.
This has really been done, and posted in winner screenshots, the shot shows the rule in action. Another slot that is hit by this rule is getting all 5 scatters on Raindance for 100 free spins, with further retriggers awarding another 100 spins.

Hmmm... I always try to start out my slots play at Rival on one of their 3 reelers. I have a weakness for Cash Cow... I want to see 3 of those damn cows line up, but never do. The 2 Fortunes games are my favorites of the bonus slots, but they will eat you alive if you don't get a decent hit early. They seem to either be 'dead' or 'hot' with no in between. And like KK I seem to get better payouts on the pick features than the free spins. Scary Rich frightens me. **shudder**

First of all I must say that the RTG slots are ery innovative and they do have a lot of slots with fundamentally different bonus games. So I think they do match MG in the ideas behind the different bonus games. The smoothness/graphics/sounds of MG is better though.
I believe I have only tried the RTG slot after they stopped paying... So I totally agree. My favorite was also Ceasars. It is funny to try to keep the feature game alive, but with low paytables and multiplier, the wins was always way too small. I even managed to have 35 free spins banked once, but it still didnt pay much anything remarkable.
Ceasars reminded me of one the first real 5-reel slots (not irtual) slots I found in Australia where this kind of 5 reel slots was called 'Pookies' (or close). No idea why or what it means though. However one of the games was somehow similar to Caesars. It had some western theme with a sheriff and a bad guy. Slots? At MGS, I like Thunderstruck, with the 15 free spin feature that can keep adding on more spins. For the same reason, I also like Tally Ho, which gives 10 instead of 15 free spins. Lake Palace has a unique one called Adventure Palace, same features, and all Belle Rock casinos have the Belle Rock slot, also with the same 15 free spins.
Casino Grand Bay wouldn't even give me their Xmas bonus b/c they said I cashed out too much, playing Thunderstruck mostly. LP and Bella Vegas sent me theirs, but CGB weren't so nice. I even cashed out with the xmas bonus from BV, playing some of the new bonus slots, Loaded and Dino Might.

I like "Cleo" slots, had my 100 free spins, but surface to say payout is a bit disappointing, since I was betting $1.50.Played at Pantasia!
Managed to win at the 3-reel slots - "Flea" market, kept trying to win the 3 diamond ring, but nada!Did hit the 3 chest of drawers couple of times.
Am having disconnection problems as well, usually when I first login.
Disconnection happens when I had my "freespins", had to logout and re-login, even so, it did not login me in immediately, had to wait awhile.
I do like the slots, its just the disconnections and payout on the ideo slots that I am iffy about.

PB, I appreciate your post. I am in the same mind frame as you are. I am quitting also. Not because of any one thing, just a lot of little things that have happened that made me see the 'light'. I think that after you play certain slots for a period of time, you see what is actually happening. Don't get me wrong, I have cashed out several times in the last few months but not anywhere close to what I have spent. I love slots but it has gotten too stressful for me. Hi i do also like rival, free spin features can sometimes hit easy and often.
Also if you do take a bonus its kinda easy to clear, I think divincis gold has the lowest wagering on sign up bonus. Also my old fave was cleo new fave was metal detector and the new slot kinda pays low on free spins and i find the bonus round to hard to hit.
Also i like to play the slots with free spins and bonus rounds because it can realy pay well to hit that bonus round during tose free spins.
But i do have problems with the software, Like the amount off time during spins. and the slots crashes alot and if it crashes during free spins you gotta click out.
If the games wernt ok or payd bad i would nether deposit at rival to many errors. I get the odd dissconect at other casinos but nether constant errors.

Has anyone noticed that durning the free spins on all the real series slots they do not spin automatically anymore, you have to click each spin. I played the Raindance one this weekend and durning the free spins (which are few and far between) they jerk and spin really weird and you just don't hit squat!
Many many players deposited and played the Real Series Video Slots, which had an amazing rate of payout. Then the casino managers began to gripe about the amount of cash they were having to pay players.
I agree that the real series games have been tighten up. Only once during the first two sets of real series slots they released did I see one RTG with a random jackpot of 13,000+ before it was hit, now I'm seeing them getting much higher before being hit. Inetbet's Ceasar game over 20,000 and Sci-Fi's Aztec Riches over 21,000 (I don't know if it's been hit yet or not). I don't think their paying out nothing like they used too. I agree there is no reason why ideo slots which are far less limited than real slots should be so sterile.
By the way they do use the actual roms of the slots and you can download the original layouts and sounds with the ast majority of them.
Perhaps I should start a thread on whether people are satisfied with the current crop of ideo slots and if not what they would like to see introduced. I know casinos like Davincis Gold have I-slots but even these only offer a change of wallpaper rarther than a complete makeover.

If you are playing slots, I'd suggest you stop playing online now.
As a programmer, why on earth do you choose to play slots? The RNG generated for slots is weighted before applying to the reels, thus they can set the payout anyway they like. Normally they set the payout between 80-95% but they have the right to set it as 50% or lower. Even if they do that it's still justified because slots are supposed to be NON RANDOM.
The major difference between online and land based gambling is that you will play MUCH faster. With a high house edge, your chance of winning with slot is close to minimum and you will loose your money much faster playing online.
Maybe you should stick on land based casino. At least you got free drink or meals for the action.

It is not the worst release. 3 of the 4 slots are new, but none are blockbusters though.

Standard freespin+picking game feature slot. The picking game is one of the extremely boring low ariance feature with total win ery close to *12 bet-size.
The freespin is 5spins*10 multiplier, so this is a bit extreme making this a high ariance slot. But 5 freespins is not much and the feature only takes 15 seconds. Nothing new about this slot, if you like high ariance slots 'Isis' is still #1 in my book.

are you saying that slots suck? I always do well with slots. Of course, I play BJ, VP, and Tri-card, but slots is how I get my big bang all the time. If it werent for slots, I'd never win. Its pretty much the first time I've played slots for real. I knew the ariance would be huge but I didn't expect to be taken down so quickly. Maybe I was just being a bit optimistic.
btw does anyone know if the payouts for the slots can be set by the casino? I suspect that ConnectToCasino could lower the payouts on their slots since the bonuses that they give all require wagering on slots (or keno) to meet the wagering requirements.

Hey there cyalater, actually it was kinda the other way around for me. I wrote a review of them at WhichBingo the end of January. I had been playing for several months and got fed up with not winning AT ALL. So then I did not play for a while, and they sent me a bonus in the mail. So, I went and changed my player name, played it and won! Cashed out most of it and played the rest and won! Cashed it out and played with a few dollars left in and did not win. But I figured I had cashed out 2 times on free bonus so I made a small deposit. Around 25 bucks. I won and cashed out. Now it goes about every second deposit I can cash out. I almost never go into chat, but some of them I enjoy so I go in. I do play a lot smarter there now. When I have enough to cash out I do. I don't continue thinking I will get even more. Plus at Cashmill, if you are broke you can play the free games for BB's and I have won those and gone on to win cash and take it out. I have also played the free slots tournaments on Mondays. There have been a good many threads on the poor payout ratio on RTG slots especially Real Series slots. There are claims, however, that they do hit big if you have patience which is a rarity in gamblers. Playtech and MG slots are way better as you have some decent wins once in a while.

They don't tighten the slots. I am positive that none of the MG licensees have the ability to change odds.
I am sure it is the same as it is in Vegas. Have you ever seen one of those ads that state "we have the tightest slots in town"? What they do is set a few of their slots so they will have the highest payout...they then get you on the other slots that are not quite so lose.
What a lot of online casinos do is market the slots that are already tighter (higher margin for the casino) than the others so they can maximize their profits.
That is why you almost never see Blackjack tournaments or contests. Why bring in more customers to play games that the casinos don't make money on any way?
