About the US ban on gambling.
Since running a casino/gambling site is illegal in the US, how does all this affect affiliates of these casino/gambling companies.
Is it illegal for someone in the US to have a gambling domain and then use that domain for the promotion of the affiliate casino/gambling sites that they are a member of?

Here's a question.
How does this law or the fact that they say internet gambling is illegal in the US affect those of us who are in the US and are affiliates of these casino/gambling companies.
If I was to own a gambling related domain for the use of promoting the casino sites that I am an affiliate of, how am I affected by these laws??

The US DOJ has "opined" that online gambling is illegal. That is not the same as saying that online gambling is illegal by law, because it isn't. There are no US federal laws which relate to online gambling except the Wire Act, and online casino gambling has already been said to not be covered by the Wire Act, based on a number of decisions already handed down.
Let's not get off track here.
The gambling age in Nevada is generally regarded to be 21.
The age of majority in Nevada is 18. Or 19 if you are still in high school.
By this reckoning, and the terms and conditions of the casino itself, the player's wagers are entirely alid and the casino has no right to rescind winnings based on their argument that the player was underage.

Since my last post, i've been to the casino another 3 times and i've won those three times (215, 60, 240) using my 'betting system' in blackjack (overall i'm 180 up in casino gambling). My friend is so amazed to see my results (always winnin the big bets) that he wants to 'invest' and pay me to play with his money. That would be fun, playin for nothing (with commision of course)!
In spite of those results, after reading arious articles in www.wizardofodds.com (excellent site about gambling in general, but focused on casino) i do understand that gambling systems will never work in the long run. I see mine as a compressed Martingale system, which lets me stay away from my bankroll limit. So all up i'm having a great time gambling, and the best thing is that i probably won't have to use my money anymore.

This is my question now as well. If one advertises at Got2Bet or CasinoMeister, I feel ery comfortable.
From the feedback of most here, the operation in question is not trustworthy. So I wonder why gambling.com is pushing it. I am confused particularly as Julie (Gambling Grumbles) seems to be affiliated with Gambling.Com. Why would they adverise this casino when Julie has already had to intercede with a number of the same family?

Also Gang.....don't get me wrong as I think Do is GREAT, but gambling grumbles will not post from the client once the problem casino has responded. ex. when I had a problem with GP they responded with a blatant lie to Dov'd query yet I was not able to let anyone know they were lying as gambling.com closes the issue once the casino responds.

Boss media owns Gold Casino and Gambling Software operates Roman Palace Casino (a hint is that you should stay away from the second)
A software company operating thier own casino is not that 'special'
Do take into consideration that even if they were issuing the license to the casino they own - what of it? Anyone can purchase a software license from Barbuda & Antigua for 100k. A software license does not indicate that the casino is fair.
You should be the judge at what casino is playing fair.
I mentionned Gambling Software above... they are licensed, and what does that prove?

Online gambling does require a bit of brain work and not really suited for most people who want to do some mindless gambling (go to a land casino for that). I need spreadsheets and lots of files to keep track of where I've played, who's paid me and who hasn't as well as a whole list of casino account login names. And then I spend hours just looking at terms and conditions for different casinos to find good offers. Its definitely a lot admin work and there are many pitfalls for the many new players who have just started to dabble in online gambling.

Dear Mister Curran,
Apparently someone forgot to tell Barona casino, which only advertises on the radio all the time in California and is endorsed by Kenny Rogers, that the minimum gambling age in California is 21. For some reason they think its 18. Maybe you should speak to them. They obviously run a disreputable casino while yours is the epitome of integrity
From their website: http://www.barona.com/casino.cfm
— Children under the age of 18 are welcome to our resort. However, because the minimum gambling age is 18, we only allow children in the casino before 8:00pm to dine in our restaurant facilities (10:00pm for children of hotel guests). They must, however, be accompanied by an adult at all times, and cannot stay in the gambling areas
Also, see here about joining their comp program:

But would you want your gambling,cc activity, etc be scrutinized by the irs?
all gambling wins must be reported on a 1040
play 100,000 hands of bj at $5/hand could easily give you an income of $200,000. Add this to your AGI and all of sudden you lose certain deductions. IRS will allow you to net win/losses by sessions, but does not define sessions. How would you define a session online? How would the IRS? It is different than land based gambling.
You can deduct gambling losses up to the amount of wins, but unless you are a professional you must itemize these on schedule A. Many people don't itemize and would lose their standard deduction or end up paying tax on what should be losses. ie win $1000 at casino A lose $1200 at casino B
It even gets worse if you live in a State with income tax.
With the ery ague way IRS treats gambling, this to me is a scary thing. The IRS will end up as the ultimate bonus scammer.
eek, do you have to pay tea tax?

Can they close casinos down for not playing players anyway, as they say they've done with a few recently? Wouldn't that imply that they have responsibilty in that regard as well? I think RTG are happy as long as they get their monthly fee.

See the posts below about great bonuses at Gaming Club, FatCatz, Lucky Nugget.

everyone missed the f***ing point. It's not like I dont know WTF I'm doing, all the people that replied witht he poker is not gambling crap like Mr. Sticker couldnt hold my jock strap in a game... but playing for too high of stakes IS gambling. And yes, I already do feel the urge to play again. And also... I thought about this today. Every time I've ever went to the real casino, I've NEVER had a problem like this... I've went, won or lost, and left. I've walked into a casino and left 5 grand richer, and I was counting my cash, the thought of going to sit at a 100/200 hold'em game NEVER even crossed my mind. And I've left a few grand poorer and was able to just chalk it up. I used to frequent the casino often back in the day when I made 3-4k a week, and never ONCE have I felt the way I do now about gambling online. I dunno why I even came to the forum today.... prolly just to see what everyone had to say, but all the replies talking about whether poker is gambling or not missed the entire point.

We're operated as a sister casino to Captain Cooks Casino, one of the largest online gambling casinos, so you can be assured that your online gambling is safe and secure.
This casino should be fine! Captain Cook has been one the best MGs out there. This is no different than good deals they have been running on CC and Illustrated.
"i had $50 with $20 no deposit and bet all on red, of course black after letting me win $30 on blackjack"
I'm sorry, that's just pathetic! Surely you are joking?

Both live-gambling-casino and ace-poker use EZECash. This is the same software of Planetluck, Starluck, among others. BEWARE!
Crowncitycasino uses what looks like a different ersion of Gambling Software. Big bonus, 2000/10000.
Both livingcasino and supremecasino use Gambling Software where the max deposit is $500.
Keep finding them Jetset.
