I think 'sorts' is a somewhat narrower construction than 'variants'. A ariant of a game is a related game. But 'all sorts' is simply 'all blackjack games'. Pontoon is not a sort of blackjack. It is a ariant of blackjack. There are no blackjack games where the player loses pushes, as you do in pontoon. There are no blackjack games where you can double with any number of cards. There are no blackjack games where you get paid 2-1 for a blackjack or for a 5-card trick.

Topic: Blackjack Ballroom - Huh? Forum: Winner Online

You would think a place named "Blackjack Ballroom" would be a haven for blackjack players. I know we've all seen casinos that don't allow blackjack play towards wagering requirements on promos but to name your casino Blackjack Ballroom and then disallow blackjack towards promo terms just seems way wrong. I wish they would quit sending me spam email.

Blackjack Ballrooms Terms and Conditions:

"Using the promotional bonus for no risk wagers or to wager on Roulette, Craps, Baccarat, Sic Bo or Blackjack does not fulfill your obligation with regard to the total amount wagered prior to cash in. "

I am only commenting - pontoon is commonly known as a form of blackjack - if you go to the Wizard of Odds you will see that Pontoon is also known as Spanish 21 - and in his first breath he mentions blackjack as well.

Lojo, if you look for "pontoon" in Wikipedia, it says:

Quote:

For the card game, see Blackjack.

and no, I didn't edit it and I doubt it was edited yesterday.

I don't know where you guys are finding that pontoon is significantly different than blackjack to the point where it is not obvious... Dirk, anyone who's played pontoon even once would know that this is essentially blackjack - your argument doesn't hold water. And for Tristan to argue that he didn't know it was blackjack would make him look really silly.

Get blackjack on line to supplement your income

I had to make some more money. We had just bought a brand new car for my wife (we for sure needed two cars now that we were both working full time) and we had not yet finished paying off my car. I realized, that even though I had a full time job, my salary just was not going to cut it. I had to think of another solution if we were going to survive. I decided to try blackjack on line. My work colleague had told me blackjack on line had gotten him out of a difficult spot or two and now he used casino on line regularly to supplement his income. He said thanks to blackjack on line he had much less pressure now.

I have played blackjack in Las Vegas for a long time, and I can definitely say that internet blackjack is not the same. During live blackjack, sometimes, you will get on a roll and make good money, but online it doesn't seem like you can win more than two or three hands in a row. Or, the computer dealer will string 6 cards together to beat your 20. This doesn't just happen once during an online session. It might happen live, but it will be rare. If you want to play blackjack, go to a casino.

Here is some advice; If you want to have some fun and have a reasonable chance of winning, play online blackjack....

However, if you want to make money at blackjack... buy a casino.

If i understand you correctly you have already messed up by playing blackjack. If this is true, you are gonna play h.ll getting paid.

If i am misunderstanding you, and everything is ok, then i would suggest playing Jacks or Better VP (99.5% payback) to meet wagering requirements (assuming JOB is ok, LOL). This is probably the best game (other than blackjack) in terms of payback % and you should be able to protect your profit easier by playing this to fullfill wagering requirements.

Again i must say, i have a feeling you have already messed up though.

And you guys aren't the only ones who have questioned the fairness of their blackjack. Bernynhel has also stated that their blackjack is highly suspicious.

Generally speaking, I don't think it's good to play games at places that aren't meant for them, i.e., blackjack at a poker room, ideo poker at a bingo site, etc.

Blackjack, with its notoriously low house edge, is always an easy target for cheaters... so it wouldn't surprise me if Absolute Poker has a hidden higher house edge than most other blackjacks.

There are two reasons why a company will offer blackjack:
1) It's a fun game enjoyed by millions of gamblers, and an honest game of blackjack will keep the player coming back

and

2) It's a fun game enjoyed by millions of gamblers, but not ery profitable so in order for the house to make any money off it, it needs to be rigged

I think casinos offer blackjack because of reason #1, and poker/bingo/other sites offer blackjack because of...

I had an anamoly like experience today with the atlantic city blackjack at prima. It seemed the larger my bet, the more often I lost. Also, anytime the dealer would show a bust card (ie. 6) it would then draw to 20/21. At the conclusion of my play, I decided to go for a playcheck so I could calculate the beats that the dealer gave me and their statistical probabilities. After searching throughout my Pokertime software I realized that hey, there is no playcheck for blackjack! How brilliant is that! I then went to their customer support where I was told that they do not record blackjack hands.

All in all, my advice to the masses is to avoid prima blackjack as I am near certian that it is an unfair game of blackjack.

PS. It would be nice to see an independent review of this software, if any watchdog is up for it.

Has anyone won big in Playtech Blackjack?

I love the fast game of Playtech Blackjack, and I want to play it.
But I saw so many comments here doubting its fairness. So I need more information before risking my capital.

Playtech casino sites say both "fun mode" and "real mode" use RNG, but they don't say the "same RNG".
Some people say they don't recognize any difference between Playtech's "fun mode" and "real mode", but others do.
I can consistently win in Playtech's "fun mode" Blackjack, but, of course, I don't think it will be so easy in "real mode".

I'm aware that many people think Playtech Blackjack is rigged, but I haven't seen any convincing evidence to that. Terrible losing streak can happen even in fair games.

Blackjack Rules:

The blackjack rules: Blackjack is one of the most popular and profitable casino games in existence. It's the only game where you can win the most money and kill the house edge in the long run. Unlike other card games this game is easy to learn and it's goals and the blackjack rules are simple and clear.

To win you have to have a hand greater then the dealer without going over 21. You don't have to hide your hand from the players or dealer because all gamblers play against the dealer, and he can't make his own decisions because he works for the casino and they have a strict policy to follow the blackjack rules.

The dealer has to take as many cards as possible to get to 17. Once he hits 17 he is forced to stand. However if he draws a 10 and a 5 he obviously has to take another card and it's in your best interest that he busts (goes over 21.) These are the basic blackjack rules.

Blackjack rules are easy when played correctly and you must take into consid...

Dirk,

In response to your question about Blackjack: It is impossible to "rig" blackjack. You cannot "set" a blackjack payback because it is a skill-based game. The deck is shuffled by the RNG (random number generator) after every single hand and dealing of cards is 100% random. The only two things that affects Blackjack payback is:
1. Non-optimal play by the player will sometimes drive the payback down, but never lower than 98.1% for any reasonable time period.
2. Strong bonus promotions give skilled Blackjack players the extra edge to push player payouts up, sometimes over 100%.

does this answer your question?

Here is a great blackjack success story.

Once upon a time, I actually won about $50 playing Microgaming's ery weird blackjack.

Anyone who knows anything about Microgaming's funny blackjack game knows that this is beyond success--it's a minor miracle.
